We recently visited Yungaburra and stayed 1 night at this motel. We checked in at around 5pm and had to get some supplies from the local store so we decided to put our aircon on to cool our room down as we would be returning shortly. Upon arriving back to our room we found that the aircon had been switched... More

I was sad to view your complaint. At Curtain Fig Motel we are trying to 'reduce our footprint' by reducing power consumption where we can. We have invested in Solar Panels on the roof, recycle wherever possible and ensure that consumption of anything that can affect global warming is kept to a minimum. When it was noticed that your aircon... More

We stayed in the spa room and from arrival it was wonderful.A very friendly greeting from the owners and their little, very friendly dogs. The room has a generous sized 2 person spa and comfortable furniture and bed. The dinner was very generous and so was breakfast.

We were recommended this motel by friends, and we were not disappointed. We stayed here first on our way to Cape York, and decided to come back as it was so relaxing. The owners were so friendly, they even let us wash some of the bull dust off the car! And their two little dogs are delightful. It almost felt... More

We were greeted on arrival by two very cute little dogs! The owner took the time to shake our hand and introduce himself and we were served with complimentary homemade scones, jam and cream which were so good. The room was clean, we slept very well and enjoyed the pod coffee maker in our room. Excellent value for money.

Obviously, this is not a five star establishment, or even a hotel; however, as a motel it excels. Tasteful sandstone building with spacious, well-appointed rooms. The owners are extremely nice (as are the cool dogs, Oscar and Lucinda). You can have home made breakfast brought to your room, which we sampled (it was decent and reasonable priced, very happy with... More

The welcome party (two little dogs) put us in a great mood to start with! Following that, the scones with jam and cream were a bonus too. The rooms are large, clean and have everything you need, including great shower, kettle, fridge, toaster, microwave, coffee machine and iron. It's very central for discovering the region and we saw a few... More

We visited Yungaburra over the weekend to go to a function. We chose to stay at Curtain Fig as it was close to the function venue. From the moment we pulled into the driveway we felt at home. The owners two minature dogs came out to welcome us, upon checking we were offered scones and jam and taken to our... More

We were pleasantly surprised to find the Curtain fig motel on our recent visit to the tablelands and stayed a few nights while exploring the area. Well equipped and comfortable rooms, great touch to have a coffee pod machine in the room. The new owners and their two little dogs made us welcome and Mark did a splendid job with... More
