This accomodation is extremely clean, breakfast was very good and on time! The owners were friendly. You could eat breakfast outside and the place was very quite. They were extremely hard on the towels, not to make them dirty with make up, but on the other hand, the towels were from an extreme good quality, so I could understand, replacing... More

Perfect base for the wildlife spotlight tour which is run by a local expert. This is on the edge of Yungaburra and is a peaceful and quiet spot. Spotless rooms with a view over gardens full of jasmine and scented plants. Small rooms but well equipped, spotlessly clean and adequate. Friendly and helpful staff. Would recommend highly.

Great value for money at Kookaburra Lodge. It is off the main road, so no traffic noise overnight. The room was clean and comfortable. The owner was friendly and helpful, and gave me a map of where to view the local platypus from. It is within easy walking distance from the Lodge, and I had success !!! There were multiple... More

The place is indeed cute and the towels are the highlight of the bedroom. It was a nice bedroom in this interesting town but I was very upset to be given the password to a wifi that actually DOES NOT work in your room. And to use it, you must be in the reception. I felt a bit cheated as... More

My boyfriend and I absolutely love kookaburra lodge and are looking forward to spending more time there in a few weeks. The price is unbeatable, the location superb and the hospitality and cleanliness of the room without fault. It is within walking distance to everything and although it's only two hours away for us it allows us to relax and... More

We stayed at Kookaburra Lodge Motel for just one night while driving through the Atherton Tablelands. The owners were so friendly and accommodating, including bringing a hot breakfast to our room at a pre-chosen time. If the weather had been warmer, we certainly would have eaten it outside on the veranda in front of our room. (There was also a... More

Look the owner is a really nice guy, very helpful and obliging...But The room is bereft of character, the little TV is difficult to see and the A/C Heating in other rooms is pretty noisy in my room. Sort of an intermittent dull throbbing. Annoying. The bed was very comfortable, the sheets towels and room sparkling and plenty of tea... More

Clean, comfortable rooms, with fresh flowers, a nice veranda for eating, talking, or playing games, helpful and friendly owners--and two rooms for the price we might pay for one in other places. It was a great spot for us and our two teenage boys. The garden is beautiful, and the location is great, just up a grassy hill from downtown... More

This is the 2nd time we have enjoyed a pleasant stay at the Kookaburra Lodge at Yungaburra. Our room was clean, quite and well maintained with an enjoyable outlook to the gardens. The staff are very friendly and made us feel at home. The village of Yungaburra is within walking distance with restaurants and interesting shops. The Yungaburra markets are... More

Kookaburra Lodge is located at the top of a gentle rise, within walking distance to a number of restaurants, a small number of speciality shops, grocery store, a spa, gallery and the platypus viewing platform. The motel itself is set in small tropical gardens with all rooms at ground-level. There is a communal pergola near reception where wi-fi can be... More
