Lovely hosts, very clean, nice little touches. I really appreciated being shown our room and introduced to where things were. For budget travellers, this place was perfect. Even a tranquil, shady garden to relax in. Great location too. Highly recommended.

Came in here with no booking but we were warmly received. Rooms are average size, but our bathroom was quite large and spacious. There's a small deck/verandah area at the front of the rooms, it's not especially private but does look over the pleasant and well maintained garden. The location is off the highway, so it's a very quiet place,... More

Hi Jim we are so glad you enjoyed your stay. Mark and I have only owned the Kookaburra Lodge for 12 months and we have worked through a list of upgrades with a long list still to work through. Hopefully next time you come and visit we will have completed some more improvements. We look forward to seeing you again! More

Comfortable, air-conditioned accommodation within our budget with large choice of breakfast served outside in leafy garden surrounds; barbecue available if desired; within easy walking distance to town and lots of attractions close by. Wifi available for checking emails and planning ahead. Young friendly owners for whom nothing is too much trouble.

We stayed one night here. The room was comfortable with a small ensuite not much room for toiletries but no problem for one night. The bed was comfortable. Outside was a table & chairs where we sat & enjoyed our breakfast. It was much cooler staying here. The woman who checked us in was not very friendly but her partner... More

We stayed here for 2 nights, very comfortable and clean. Everything you could need. Family run, they are very friendly, helpful and knowledgable about the area. Good places to eat, all at a walkable distance. Last but not least, there are platypus in the river!!!

Nice clean & comfortable rooms within walking distance of the local shops, cafes & pub. Comfortable bed, had a great sleep. Walk to the famous Yungaburra markets. Friendly staff. Cute little village to stay at for a couple of days.

We loved the place. The cleanest, best set up, so quite, most comfortable bed, what else do you want. The host's went out pf their way to welcome everyone. With two wings to the lodge the managers put the younger ones in one side and US older ones on the other. Bliss. Yungaburra is he friendliest place I have been,... More

Heartfelt welcome and guided tour of the features of our very comfortable room. Fresh flowers, fabulous fluffy towels, plenty of pillows and good quality toiletries and in room refreshments. Situated within walking distance of Yungaburra and Peterson's Creek where platypus play, it is the perfect spot for a stopover close to Atherton. Rooms are small but so much to do... More

We stayed here 5 yrs ago & found it a lovely little motel with gorgeous bushland setting. Upon our return again in August, it has been updated with modern bathroom & fresh paint. Clean, comfortable & great value, especially the scrumptious breakfast. Just love the setting ammongst the gardens & a gogeous little unspoilt country town. Lovely hosts & will... More
