Only stayed one night but wished we had booked a longer stay. Excellent self contained flat on ground floor and included a breakfast left for us. All amenities you could want. In an extremely good position in the heart of the village and very close to platypus viewing area. Highly recommended.

This was a very comfortable B&B in a great location. The suite was large and private. the provided breakfast was simple but more than adequate, and the hosts were helpful and friendly. Yungaburra is a wonderful small town and this B&B is on a very quiet street. We were told where platypus might be - and we found 7 that... More

I have stayed many times at The Gables. Each time I have been treated with utmost care, generosity and help. The place is clean, generous and comfortable. My whole extended family, as well as myself, will stay no where else when we go to the Tableands. Phil and Katy are generous and friendly hosts. Posy Thompson of Cairns, Edge Hill

This a much belated review, so may not be up-to-date. First of all I would urge all visitors of Tropical QLD to pay a visit to the lovely town of Yungaburra. It has an old-fashioned feel that is not so easy to find elsewhere. And the Gables B&B is the best choice as for accommodation. We stayed in the downstairs... More

We chose the room with a spa tub and the breakfast. We were so PLEASED with the accomdation. The place was very clean and very spacious. One of the great things we enjoyed was the breakfast was in the fridge for us. So we could eat it when we wanted. We walked to Peterson's Creek EARLY in the morning, returned... More

Please note that this a review of the ground floor flat. Good sized apartment with double bed in bedroom and sofa bed in lounge. The kitchenette has two hotplates, a small oven/grill, fridge, toaster and microwave. It's a bit dated but all in good condition. The self serve breakfast was a choice of three cereals, bread, milk and plenty of... More

We chose the room with a spa tub at this Bed and Breakfast for a party of three. The room was very cozy and the beds were extremely comfortable. There was also a loveseat and dining table with chairs. You had such amenities as a refrigerator, hot pot, press pot, utensils and even bath robes. Coffe and tea was provided.... More

Fell into Yungaburra during a break in the Rugby World Cup, exhausted. Had a few small snifters at the local Hotel, great place, asked around and found the Gables. Comfortable together place, run by Phil at Katie. All we needed, comfortable bed, not messed around, food as and when, it was quiet and gave us the chance to recharge batteries.... More

Stumbled across this place one hot afternoon after arriving without a plan. Best night's sleep we had in Queensland! Lovely peaceful setting in a family homestead on the edge of Yungaburra's main street. Yet with parking right outside our beautifully furnished room. Everything you could want & a lovely bathroom with spa-pool just upstairs. Breakfast is there if you want... More
