The stars of the show are Amy and the other two lovely female bar staff. Amy is born to be a publican. Doing a pub crawl of the pubs and decided to eat in here for the food reviews. We sat at the bar and got talking to the lovely Amy and of course some locals (always a good sign)... More

This oasis in the desert was a great find on our journey in outback Queensland. Each caravan site had a small grassed area beside each van spot, the amenities block was clean and a huge bonus - free use of the washing machines. Recommend this park if you are travelling - you even get a drink voucher to use at... More

We only ate here and stayed elsewhere , but we were surprised by the large diverse menu . Pub was packed for a Wednesday night 11/08 2015 and food was superb. The size of the meals are huge and very well priced and restaurants on the coast should come out West to see what a decent meal looks like and... More

Pleasant surprise was there caravan park. Green grass on annex areas. Free washing machines. Would recommend. Nice spot after travelling for weeks. Right at main street and close to everything. They also do boolimgs for tours. Also offer free first drink when you purchase a meal

This grand old queenslander wooden pub is possibly the best Pub I've been to. Atmospheric and friendly with a great owner and staff and full of friendly people. You name it....farmers, Cowboys, grey nomads, backpackers, families, they were all in here enjoying the food, the atmosphere and the music from "Sax and the Single Girl". Don't miss it. This pub... Seriously good old fashioned hospitality here! Stayed at the campground behind the pub, amenities basic but clean. Free washing machines but I think I'd be deterred by the ire water smell. Staff in the pub were awesome & super helpful with info on the Winton area. Beers were great. We didn't eat there but everyone we spoke to said meals... More

We knew it was going to be different as soon as we walked in the door. Amy was loud, welcoming, but also in full control of the bar. We got a room (shared bathroom) upstairs. Now this is an old pub, the room is very basic but clean, and the bed good. Timber construction all round, so it did creak... More

We spent a week here in the adjacent Tatt's Van Park ($30/night). Free beer or wine with main meal purchase. It's a very friendly park, staff are friendly & welcoming. The beer is cold & the meals are lovely. Plus, as a bonus, all sites are grassed. That's a welcome change after weeks of dirt & dust. Very clean

What a surprise to find a pub with such personality and food to die for! From the moment we entered the bar, we were treated like long-lost-friends by the bar staff. Everybody who entered that space was greeted individually by the wonderful bar-maids and publican. I am not one for sitting up at the bar, but on this occasion, I... More

What can I say the service was exceptional and the food was great. A large group were also in town on the angel flight trailblazers rally so it was fairly busy, but the staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. I especially liked the fines dished out for anyone caught swearing in the bar, all of which went... More
