This was most definitely one of the highlights of our trip. We could have spent the whole two days we were in the area just sitting on the verandah watching the wildlife, drinking Mandy's coffee and eating her freshly baked croissants. We were made to feel like family from the moment we stepped through the front door. The whole main... More

Have you ever wanted to LIVE in the canopy of a rainforest? Mossman Gorge B&B fits that bill. Mandy and Chris Coxon's Queensland style home puts you on the bird's level. The verandah is the perfect of platforms: you can enjoy one of Mandy's fabulous breakfasts and be treated to a wild kookaburra that comes to visit. Figbirds, honey eaters,... More

This lovely B&B is much more a traditional B& B than I expected. You definitely get up close and personal with the owner, Mandy and it feels just like a home. She provides a significant amount of information about the house, the area and activities. Now this for some is a good thing....and for others not so much. Some people... More

I knew from the outset that these guests were not overly happy with me or with how the bed and breakfast functioned and I tried my best regardless of this, to ensure their time in house was a good one I take note of their issues and even though they chose to give a low score, I am going to... More

We felt so welcome at this B & B that we considered it home four our four days. The entire main floor is available to guests--living, dining, kitchen and outdoor areas. The veranda was the best , where we had delicious breakfasts with views of Mossman Gorge and all the birds attracted by the feeders. Mandy was so patient with... More

We spent five nights at this beautiful home and would gladly do so again and again. What a pleasure Chris and Mandy are, and their home is always immaculate. You could get lost in the decor, library, scenery and grounds and never leave the property. Mandy goes to extra lengths to ensure your stay is your own Shangri-La. Breakfast always... More

Our family of five were here immediately preceding aabhanagral and her family. She is such an excellent writer that we can only say YES to her observations. If we ever are near Mossman again this is where we will want to stay. It would be a joy to sit with the kookaburra as it dined on a meat snack from... More

We a family of 3 from Mumbai, India (myself, my husband and 18 year old daughter) had planned our first visit to Australia and were keen to visit Tropical Queensland. Though Cairns and Port Douglas seemed to be the obvious choices, we were keen on the rain forest experience and something offbeat and realized most other places were beach places..... More

Thank you for such a wonderful introduction to Australia. This B&B has a beautiful setting in the rain forest with a large wooden deck overlooking the gorge area which is full of birds, insects, lizards, and we even spotted some bats. We had a clean room which slept our family of three, our own bathroom and access to a giant... More

Our stay at Mossman Gorge B&B was perfect. The use of the whole upstairs, and kitchen plus pool area is wonderful. Bedding is very comfortable. The view off the terrace is towards the gorge and birds arrived as we breakfasted. We had dinner at Mojo's in Mossman which was also excellent. Thank you Mandy for a wonderful stay.

Okay, I'm going to admit that I don't like being told big lists of things I can and cannot do. It's not that I am anti-authoritarian or anything like that, it's just a prefer to follow the simpler rule of "Don't be a [--]!" and everything will be fine. So, when my partner and I were being told the house... More
