We occupied the whole of Licuala lodge for a family reunion for a week. It suited our needs perfectly with lots of spaces to gather together and hide away, a beautiful pool for the children, a magnificent tropical garden with birds, butterflies and a frequently visiting friendly cassowary. Mick and Sue are friendly, helpful and flexible hosts and breakfast was... More

Dear Sue and Mick Thank You for your hospitality. What a lovely stay we had. We were 3 nights in your b&b. It felt like home. The last day we had a lovely day on the swimming pool with beautiful weather. There we saw a cassowary. The nights were so quite and dark. The breakfast wonderful. Thank you very much... More

We were delighted to have chosen this accommodation for our stay in the Mission Beach area. A huge bonus was the shared guest area separate from the bedrooms where we could prepare and eat meals, mingle with other guests and even do the laundry if required. The bedrooms were lovely although we could see that if all rooms were occupied... More

We stayed at Licuala Lodge for 3 nights, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Mick and Sue are great hosts. We booked a queen room but was upgraded to a king-sized suite with our own private verandah. We booked the accommodation and water-rafting through their websites and got some discounts and two free bottles of wines. We... More

Hi Tan_Soo_Hian - thanks for the review, our very first review from Singapore !!!! You can generally find a bargain if you book directly with accommodation and we are no exception. Breakfast is also a highlight for us - guests are happy to exchange holiday stories, and overlooking our tropical gardens. In the winter months (July/August/September) there is lots more... More

Hi Simon - thanks for the review. Always happy to help our guests with booking trips, and quite often we can get a special price and throw in a bottle of wine - all part of the service. The garden is beginning to look good again after the wet season - and glad to supply all and sundry with cuttings... More

Hi Matthilda - thanks for your review. Xmas Day in North Qld pretty much means that the BBQ will put to good use. Breakfast with other guests is a great time to have a gossip and share holiday stories and info. Lots of fresh fruit at this time of year from the garden including pineapples, dragonfruit and mango. Hi Rachel - Breakfast here is a great experience, not just the food but also sharing the table with other guests makes it all the more pleasurable.
