We stayed for just 1 day but we were captured by the unique atmosphere. Mick and Sue are nice persons and very dedicated to their guests. The position of the place is cool: in the middle of the rainforest! You really feel immersed in nature! The accommodation, the breakfast, the comfortable guest lounge, the pool, everything was great! We even... More

Having just returned from 8 days in FNQ, 4 of our days were spent at the Licuala Lodge. We were a group of 11, 3 couples (us with an 11 year old son) and 4 single travellers. Mick and Sue could not be more hospitable. The accommodation, breakfast and facilities (pool and guest lounge) was fantastic. I was worried with... More

We booked out this B&B for a reunion. It was perfect. Mik and Sue make you very welcome but respect your privacy, and cook great breakfasts. Thoroughly recommend for anyone staying in this area. More

We found this beautiful gem while organizing our Australia trip. We are very glad that we booked this beautiful B & B. When we drove up to the driveway of Licuala Lodge, both my wife and I looked at each other and smiled and said, "Is this it? It's beautiful!!" Mick and Sue keep their property in pristine order. During... More

Licuala Lodge was one of our best experiences in Australia. Mick and Sue's bed and breakfast in Mission Beach is a superb example of Austrailian hospitality. We were impressed with the accomodation (clean, well appointed), excellent breakfasts (best omelette I have ever eaten!), and genuinely friendly atmosphere. The gardens and pool were lovely. We stayed there three nights altogether and... More

We would fully recommend this B&B to anyone travelling in the Mission Beach area of Queensland. This was our first visit to Australia and we stayed in the main Lodge itself which was spacious and extremely comfortable. Taking Sue's wonderful cooked breakfasts on the verandah, overlooking Mick's beautiful garden, was definitely special. Mick and Sue do everything they can to... More

This is a great place. Our first stay in Australia. Things in general were a bit ragged around the edges after cyclone Iasi, but Mike and Sue had clearly done a lot of recovery work. This was not so much a bed and breakfast as a full-blown ranch. Lots of space, lovely gardens and really really good cooked breakfasts. 20... More

We stayed in the Licuala Lodge for 7 nights and it was one of the nicest places my wife and I have ever stayed in. Mick and Sue are wonderful hosts and just can’t do enough for you. The accommodation is excellent and the facilities are superb, there is nothing you could want for. Most importantly the fridge is always... More

A thoroughly pleasurable experience! Comfy room, delightful setting, wonderful pool, outstanding breakfast! Sue and Mick provide the little extras - like free beer and soft drinks, and cassowary sightings. Local eating places worth a mention are Spicy Thai, and Cafe Fish Bites for excellent fish and chips.
