Perfect for the couple looking for some peace and quiet, the space to "be yourselves" and not be bugged by your phone or email (No Optus) Walked down to the swimming hole and rock hopped up the river looking for another more private pool for a swim and were rewarded with a beautiful spot. Took our hot bread and spreads,... More

Lovely people. Great accommodation. Awesome location. What else could you ask for. Perfect getaway from the kids and the rest off the world. Close enough to Maleny but seems like you are in the middle of nowhere.Views are simply to die for. Can't wait to go back.

As I've written previously about the wonders of Lyola, I'll keep it simple. My wife and I were married there and have returned, for our anniversary, every year since. We've just arrived home today after our latest stint and are already booked for next year. In a nutshell, this place rocks! We always stay in Seek, the higher-positioned of the... More

This was our third visit to The Hide cabin in the last 12 years. A magical place of privacy and solitude where you can truly refresh and reinvigorate yourself. Fine linen, comfortable and large bed, lots of relaxing chair and day bed options. The self contained whilst basic as pretty much all you need to whip up a gourmet feast.... More

Our visit to Lyola was to celebrate our halfaversay (6 months). We were in search of a private retreat with two requirements. It had to be wheelchair accessible and it needed to have a spa. The 'Seek' cabin at Lyola fit the requirements perfectly and greatly exceeded expectations. Equipped with a fireplace and reverse cycle airconditioning the Seek cabin is... More

My wife and I stayed at the "Seek" cabin on a cool, rainy and misty couple of nights in July 2012 for our 10th wedding anniversary. We couldn't fault it. The supplied breakfast materials were very thoughtful, as was the endless supply of firewood to keep the cabin warm continuously. The wet weather didn't matter - it just added to... More

My husband and I stayed at Lyola in late February for just one night. It was a very special experience. Having found this place through Green Getaways Australia, we were delighted to be able to have real contact with the owner, rather than just an impersonal booking system. I still cannot get the lovely image of seeing Jane, the owner,... More

Lyola is everything the photos indicate, an idylic secluded treetop retreat. The amenities are excellent, the rooms are very clean and the views are superb. A very relaxing place to stay no matter what the weather conditions are like outside. There are limited places to eat in the area on Mondays and Tuesdays, but this is not a problem as... More

Having just had the honour of being the first couple to ever be married at the Lyola property, my wife and I thought offering a review was the least we could do. As our wedding was a simple, immediate-family-only event, Lyola's owners, Jane and David, were more than willing to oblige. You see, Lyola is more a family home than... More

We stayed at Lyola for a birthday celebration and it was magnificent. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly on arrival, but left us alone the rest of the time - which is what a retreat is supposed to be. The 2 'pavillions' are studio style accommodation that are built amongst the trees and accessed via a board walk. Although... More
