We found the African cottage to be a wonderful place to spend our honeymoon! It is well situated and sufficiently private. The Owner Matilda, who greeted us with a nice bottle of Champagne on arrival, could not have been more helpful. She has excellent tastes in interior decor and we felt we were transported to a small part of Africa,... More

The African Cottage is a beautiful and comfortable place to stay. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The style of the accommodation is African with some very interesting decor and art in the room. If you like cooking ask Matilda about her gourmet cooking products. The gardens are wonderful with a large variety of herbs and other plants. Very... More

Loved the Rondawel for us, friends and dog. Matilda made us welcome to this beautiful place. She cooked a superb dinner for us and friends. Everything you could want was available and easy. Clean, comfortable and happy.

we stayed here 18-20 May. Was suppose to be there 3 nights but left after the second. The african cottage was not clean as you would expect. Cobwebs with massive spiders filled the downstairs ceilings. Not all beds had sheets on them so only had the choice of 1 out of 3 beds (which was the most uncomfy). The toilet... More

We have had some wonderful stays at Maleny, but this wasn't one of them. We stayed there in early February, 2014. At first view the African cottage looked marvellous, lovely big airy rooms with comfy beds, but the bath had a huge plug of hair in the drain, we could not see in the mirror, which was dusty, and the... We stayed in the Rondawell 2 bed cottage. This cottage was wonderful, clean, lovely deco and full equipped . The South African food was fantastic and was freshly delivered to the cottage on the first night. Our hosts Matilda and Tiger the cat were outstanding and very friendly. I would highly recommend this place for a visit at anytime of... More

We have just spent two nights with another couple in the Rondawel cottage. It was private, spacious, well appointed and had an interesting array of South African ornaments and books. We really enjoyed the South Africian cuisine evening meals that were prepared and delivered (hot) to our dining table in the cottage. What luxury, after a day spent exploring the... More

Stayed in the 'house' for a long weekend with my partner and wish we hadn't. The website alludes to a private bush sanctuary. In reality all the property's dwellings are all but on top of each other and only metres from the main road. We were disturbed all evening by heavy traffic and all day by staff, contractors and other... More

I have been to many hotels and B&B. this is by far the worst. The host were so rude, the rooms are dirty & you can find lots of insects .it's terrible! Don't stay here, it is the worst place you will ever go to!!
