We stayed there for one night and we were absolutely content, better astonished. This is a beautiful place. The tree hiuse was wonderful, with a beautifuk view into the rainforest. The construction of the tree house was wonderful. The animal feeding in the morning was funny. Eating in the restaurant on site was more than delicious. We took a walk... More

Just returned from a wonderful holiday in Australia which included 3 days at Rose Gums. Could have spent far longer at the retreat and the surrounding area, there is lots to do and see. Tree houses have spectacular views over the tree tops, listening and watching the noisy birds as they feed and roost. The retreat is well fitted out,... More

Situated in the tropical rainforest of Cairns Highland, the lodge provides excellent escape to nature. Cleanliness of the rooms/cottages is just average. The housekeeping is only done once a week. But the lodge provide exceptional facilities for nature lovers: 3 different tracking trails, access to creek & waterfall, observing platypus, parrots, rat kangaroo, and many others. The birdlife in the area... More

A unique experience, particularly for bird lovers. Spacious cabins. Charming and helpful hostess/owner. Excellent breakfast hamper provided, together with lots of helpful extras for self catering I.e. Oil, condiments, etc. need to purchase own food for cooking prior to arrival as this is an isolated location. On site restaurant food was first class and the chef warm and friendly.

We spent two nights here enjoying the atmosphere of the Rainforest from the wooden havens created by Rose Gum. The chalet we stayed in was large with a god sized veranda. The chalet is equipped with a full kitchen where the eggs and bacon supplied in their Breakfast Hamper can be cooked or you can stick with the continental as... More
