We stayed here 3 nights to see the attractions of the town. It's within walking distance to the Qantas and Stockman hall of fame museums so that is a bonus. Well worth the money for those attractions. But the town is dry and houses suffer for it too. The caravan Park is dusty and big. The prices aren't too bad... More

We took an ensuite site and that facility was clean, modern and well laid out. This is, as others have pointed out, an Outback stopping point. Expect dust! Although most of the grounds are covered in gravel. Many sites had concrete pads (ours did) or mesh ground cover to minimise the effect of the dust. This was one of the... More

We stayed at the Longreach Tourist Park in July 2015, and although we have a large van, were accommodated in a very convenient spot. The park is all gravel, which is fine, as firstly it is in the outback, and secondly, it would cost a fortune to try and grass that huge area. Amenities were always clean and well maintained.... Dry and dusty thanks to the climate. Plenty of space. Amazing to share the site with brolgas wandering through the grounds. Camp kitchen was a good arrangement of separate eating and food prep areas. However, one 4 plate stove makes it difficult for several people to prepare at the same time, and one indoor sink is completely inadequate - queued... More

We booked a cabin instead of a motel so I could cook meals for my diabetic husband. What a very tired, shabby and rundown place, one very dirty hot plate is the only cooking facilities and a very shabby microwave. No shade at all, aircon doesn't work properly, staff indifferent. We have stayed at some wonderful places on this trip.... More

Booked here four 4 nights owing to close proximity to Qantas Museum, Stockman's Hall of Fame and Longreach CBD. We were given a large corner site towards the rear of the park. The whole park is level with mostly a gravel surface. The amenities were clean with great hot showers. Office booked a number of tours for us at competitive... More

We stayed 2 nights in this park and were very pleased with our choice. The amenities are ample, showers a little dated but very clean, our site for our little pop up van was huge, dusty but that's the outback.Discounts for pensioners,a sausage sizzle and free entertainment.Really good value, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the only tiny criticism I would offer is that when... This is a very large caravan park, however facilities were clean, staff friendly and it is within walking distance to the Qantas Founders Museum and the Stockmans Hall of Fame. If you want a hot shower in the cooler months, you need to have one early in the morning or afternoon. There is a sign to this effect in the shower... More

Well maintained big park even though there wasn't any grass only dirt but we are in the outback, ensuite was bigger then most very modern and spotless, staff very friendly and obliging. Everything is within walking distance, close to highway but noise wasn't a problem. Will definitely be recommending this to others

This park is large but has character. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Everything we needed was there. Sites weren't huge and the park is dusty, but we were in the outback so this was to be expected. Sausage sizzle was included and live entertainment provided for a donation. We'd stay again next time
