The perfect place to wind down after a day of exploring in the area. Off the beaten track, if you want peace and tranquility, this is the place to stay. Lots of wildlife, with a resident peacock, pademelon and other wildlife in abundance. Kookaburra visits in the trees by the restaurant and a platypus in the creek just a short... More

If peace and quiet is what you seek then this is the right place. Very comfortable and homely with helpful and unassuming hosts. From the peacock who greeted us at reception to the fabulous fresh water creek we loved the place. Husband and I had 2 surly teenagers with us who after recovering from no TV and a few hours... Every year my partner and I celebrate my birthday at this restaurant. Food are flesh and delicious. The Swiss owners were very friendly. There are little funny boards on the road till getting there. Interesting sclupture, a little pond, wildlife like a peacock, wallabies you can see. The restaurant opens weekend only. Winter is a bit cold but you can... More

Cedar park was a wonderful place to stay all the surroundings are just beautiful and the animals you see and the stream of water that you hear as you are sitting on the deck for breakfast was just lovely. It is in such a tranquil place and we would recommend it to anyone to spend time here. A must to... More

Cedar Park was highly recommended to me by a friend and the experience exceded my expectations. Driving to the place is a beautiful adventure full of tiny details around the forest that are an appetiser for the senses! The resort itself is magical! Rosy and Christoph are absolutely adorable. The food is delicious and the servings quite generous. Every detail... More

The first thing that strikes you about this wonderful place is the way it merges with the surrounding rainforest. Whether it is the waking up to bird calls or being greeted by wallabies as you come out of the room or breakfast / dining on the covered deck with the forest all around or lazing in the creek that goes... My husband, 14 year old son and nephew just took a 2 week vacation in Australia. Few visited Cairns, Sydney, Kangaroo Island and Hobart. Once of the best experiences for us was our time at the Cedar Park Rainforest Resort, a quant and excluded get away in the Table Lands. The area was surrounded by lots of wild life, wallabies,... Going by your website I was expecting something amazing. Unfortunately this was not the case. Love that it's out of the way and the staff member we met was friendly however the property was unkempt and in disrepair. We appreciate that the lack of modern conveniences is part of the charm of a property like this but for the price... More

We are sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us in March. We are new owners and take this seriously. I must comment on a few points you made for the sake of other potential visitors. First, these clients came to us at the end of a 3-day monsoonal flood, which brought a lot of debris from the... More

The new owners, Jan & Peter Danford, are wonderful hosts! Dining on the covered deck definitely enhances the experience of being in a rain forest. Complimentary Continental breakfast. Unique al la carte menu for dinner. This is definitely the place to unwind & unplug! Ideal location from which to explore various attractions in the area. Catherine & Joseph Kappel

A great alternative to staying in Karanda if you have a rental car.Cedar Park is owned and managed by a Swiss couple, who have invested a lot of time and energy in restoring the property. It's fun to spend time in the grounds watching bird life by the lake and the lagoon. Excellent food is served on the verandah where... More
