We loved this place. Sited in the rainforest, it is a perfect place to sit , watch and listen to the rainforest. Tranquility! It is five kilometres from the main road, which consist of two and a half kilometres along a gravelled road. You do get the feeling that you may have missed it, but there are amusing signs along... Quiet time away from it all...Perfect location. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Rainforest is a perfect location to relax. Cedar Park is a prefect place to do nothing, and is well located to all the best bits of the Atherton Tablelands..

If you love nature and want to get away from everything then this is the place for you. If you are looking for entertainment and excitement then perhaps you'd better look elsewhere. Read the website carefully because this place will not be for everyone. However, for us,it was the perfect place to rest and relax after two weeks travelling. The... More

I only stayed here for one night although I would of loved to stay longer. It was so peaceful and tranquil, the rooms were very unique and quirky. I really loved how each room had its own balcony at the back that looked out onto the rainforest. Very private and beautiful. A great getaway for couples wanting some quiet time... More

We are glad you enjoyed the atmosphere and serenity. If you check back in the reviews, no one has complained about the lack of air conditioning. We do not use air conditioning for the following reasons: 1) The Tablelands is 4 degrees Celsius cooler than Cairns at any time. So while it is hot in the city it is cooler... More

Certainly an eclectic and unusual place to stay - no cookie-cutter accommodation here! The Gothic-style rooms are spacious and well-equipped, each with an outside relaxation area, perfect for a quiet read. The food was great - stay for dinner to save the long drive to Mareeba and you won't be disappointed. No TV and no mobile meant complete relaxation but... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cedar Park. Jane and Peter are welcoming and showed great care for their guests. And eating our meals in the open area overlooking the creek and the rainforest, and the wildlife that wandered through, was beautiful.

We only spend one night at Cedar Park, but will be back for more! When we booked the deal via booking.com, we didn't expect much - we simply wanted a short getaway to clear our minds and that we got and more! What a little gem in the rainforest. The rooms are spacious and with very interesting decor - a... More

We had a beautiful room, were met with ultra friendly staff, ate divine food, enjoyed the curious peacock, lush green walks , reading room, fire places and heavenly peace. I am so looking forward to being able to go again.

Spacious rooms in natural colours and materials create a cosy feeling. Dinner on the terrace is a highlight. It´s really worth travelling up the mountain to the resort (read the signs near the road). Next time we will spend more time to explore the nature around.
