Staff were lovely. Food was delicious. Rainforest setting and wildlife presence was nice. Only suggestion is more brighter light for reading. Perhaps lighter colour paint on walls would reflect light better in the evenings.

Cedar Lodge is for those who want peace and quiet. A quaint little getaway with great ambience, tranquility and great food! You can while your time away at the many verandah and sitting areas to listen to the forest as you think or meditate. To really enjoy this nest you should prepare to stay at least 3 days..... Time stands... More

Fabulous and unique place run very professionally by Swiss owners Rosy and Chris (excellent chef). Beautiful quiet retreat in the middle of the rainforest, brings you back to nature.A little difficult to find at first. You have to keep driving past Kuranda, but do not get discouraged, it is well worth it !

My husband and I stayed at this resort as a mini-vacation for Christmas. It is in a beautiful location and the staff were great. The restuarant had wonderful food that was artfully presented. The rooms were unique and had an old-world gothic feel with slate floors and stained glass windows. The only critisizm I can think of is that the... More

We had a wonderful four days at Cedar Park, enjoying the idyllic rainforest environment where the only sound we heard at night were the crickets. Although the temperatures during the day were 100 degrees F at Mareeba and Atherton (December summer), the Cedar Park Rainforest Resort was comfortable, even without any air-conditioning at night. We learned a lot about the... More

I have spent 2 years debating whether or not to write this review because I want to be sure that there will be a place for us when we return, which we will most certainly do. It is simply the most wonderful place I've ever been--and I've been to a lot of places. Run by 3 ex-pat Swiss, who all seem... More

This is not your run of the mill travel lodge or motel. In fact it would be hard to imagine anywhere more unlike your standard hotel. but, if you like the unusual, even quirky, off the beaten track, eco friendly oddity this may be the place for you. Some miles up a road that steadily deteriorated into a gravel track we... More

First off... I 'd like to apologize to the owners in taking so long to write this review. Life has a way of catching up with you after a two-week honeymoon and after the level of comfort, service and atmosphere the owners and staff strived to provide for us it is a disservice to them. So I hope this honest... More

Based a few km out of Kuranda, Cedar Park is just amazing, both the location, the resort itself and the owners. The accommodation itself is spacious, different (in a good way), clean, and the showers are amazing. The grounds are filled with animals, tons of things to see. The owners were the loveliest people - just delightful to be around.... More

While our three weeks in Oz were focused on the Barrier Reef, the days and nights we spent at Cedar Park were a delightful change of pace. Our enormous room (one of only six or so) was unique in design and fixtures -- as is the rest of this intimate and one-of-a-kind resort, a gem surrounded by lush and primeval... More
