We spent only 2 nights there, but enjoyed every minute of it. Nice room, wonderful surroundings and a great restaurant. Run by two fantastic people that care about their guests and the nature. And the glass of port they present is a nice way to start your stay.

My experience was relaxing and amazing. The resort was in the middle of a beautiful rainforest. Rooms were comfortable, the staff was friendly and provided excellent service. The hosts Chris and Rosy did a fantastic job at making my stay a very enjoyable experience. The restaurant had 2 excellent chefs which made amazing food and the deserts looked spectacular. I... More

We do this week- end every year, 6 couples, in winter as we live in tropical Cairns - it's a winter experience 1 hour from Cairns and what a wonderful time we have. Cosy open fire, gourmet home style food at its best, welcoming accommodating atmosphere, Rosie and Chris cater to all our whims. We stay 2 nights, but would... More

After following the directions and the quirty little signs attached to the trees I walked in to what looked like and old Monasrty and no mobile phone coverage. What a blessing. The staff were friendly and only too eager to please. The rooms were very comfortable and the meals were great. The surroundings were great and all you want to... More

We arrived at the Cedar Park Rainforest around 10:00pm in the evening. We had stopped for a pizza in the village of Kuranda. Somehow I thought that the hotel was nearby the village but it is actually about a 20-30 minute drive from the village. The first part is along a highway and then you turn into a "bush" road... More

After a week of 'roughing it' we stopped at Cedar park to relax before heading back home. Rosie and Christoph welcome you in and make you feel instantly at home. The rooms are comfortable and all the little things you didn't realise you needed are there for you including a warming bottle of port to relax 2 weary travellers. Mulled... More

Cedar Park Rainforest Resort is a wonderful place to spend a couple or a few days in the Queensland rainforest near Cairns. The rooms are large, clean, and comfortable; the hosts are warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and generous; the setting is gorgeous. Christoph is a superb chef. Honestly, the two dinners we ate at Cedar Park were among the best meals... More

This is a beautiful and relaxing place to stay with wonderful hosts. Rosie is so welcoming and friendly. Their restaurant is great and the setting amidst the rainforest surroundings is beautiful. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. We would have liked a bit more of a kitchen so that we were able to prepare a few meals ourselves during... More

Cedar park was very disappointing. The only element this 'resort' has going for itself are the nice green surrounds. The pillows were obviously years old, the smell was nauseating. The mattress was incredibly uncomfortable and had springs projecting. Bathroom smelt of a septic tank and had slime on the floor. No TV or Internet reception. Paid for two nights stayed... More

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your comments. We regret to read that the guest’s did not enjoy their stay with us. We truly thought they had a good time after we saw them for breakfast and had a chat the evening before. We are perplexed why these guests didn’t simply advise us of this issue... More

My brother chose this beautiful resort as the venue for his wedding. As mentioned by the previous reviewer, the day they were supposed to get married was the day a category 5 cyclone, Ita, was due to hit the Queensland Coast. Despite having no power & having to delay the wedding 24 hours, Rosy & Christoph were truly spectacular hosts.... More

Well we all had a very exiting few days, no power, cyclone ITA, water water water.....but You have been great. Could not ask for better guests during that extreme time. We all tried to do the best out of that unusual situation. We hope these days will last for ever in a good way. The Team More
