What a pleasure to stay for a couple of days at Bethany. This historic, 900 acre cattle farm just south of Kingaroy has a selection of comfortable cabins in a majestic hillside location overlooking the plains and Bunya Mountains beyond. John escorted us up the track to our 1 bed cottage, stopping midway to point out a koala enjoying the... More

For a great weekend away these cottages are an absolute must: stunning, quiet location with panoramic views over Kingaroy and surrounding farmlands, well designed accomodation, close to town and with a sprinkling of native wildlife in the well kept grounds. Highlights included an afternoon tea of pumpkin scones, fantastic sunset, breakfast on the balcony and a very warm meeting with... More

We recently stayed here for a few weeks while attending the national gliding competitions at Kingaroy airport. The cottages are quite a drive up the hill from the main residence, which is good as the view and tranquility are top rate. Very nice to sit on the veranda and look at the spectacular sunsets and night lights of Kingaroy town.... More

Thank you John and Karyn for another lovely stay at Bethany. Peaceful, tranquil - and the sunsets are amazing. The cottages are comfortable and well appointed. For us, it's great that each cottage has it's own BBQ, and it's only a short drive into Kingaroy for supplies. The fireplace, complete with firewood supplied, is also great on a cold winter's... My wife and I stayed 4 nights in the "Bunya View" one bedroom cottage, when visiting Kingaroy for the annual Peanut Harvest week of golf. The cottages are well positioned high on a hill to take full advantage of the amazing views over the town and countryside and each of the four cottages are well separated and private. Cleanliness is... More

We recently spent two nights at Bethany Cottages. With the cows grazing close by, and the bush turkeys or wallabies greeting us in the morning we experienced a real country environment including peaceful relaxation . The walking tracks are well maintained and suitable for birdwatching or just taking in the bush environment. There are spectacular views over the town and... More

Four of us had a great stay over 2 nights in the two bedroom cottage, just over 1 km from the main homestead, on one of the highest points in the district. This provides a commanding view which is great to experience while sitting on the front deck, with wine in hand, having a BBQ. Two single beds in one... More

Can't say much more than the reviewers below esp. ValandHim's excellent detailed review. It really is a lovely, peaceful place to stay, and close to everything in and around Kingaroy. We went for two nights with friends who share our wedding anniversary and had a one-bedroom cottage each. (I fear we were a bit noisy the one evening tho' when... More

The redgum is ready and the fire inviting. Views to die for and friendly reception. Rather than do the usual motel for biz I looked for something special. It didn't disappoint. Very private and relaxed. Bring your own food and cook it on the barbie or hotplate. Relax is the max.

My wife and I have just returned from a long weekend at Bethany Cottages. We desperately needed somewhere to relax and recharge, and, having previously stayed at Bethany some time ago, thought it would fit the bill. It did: once again Bethany delivered. Bethany has four cottages: two one-bedroom, one two-bedroom and the spa cottage, Tranquility, which is where we... More
