The Seaview Motel has fabulous views over the Endeavour River and for this reason alone is worth the stay. However this is not justification for prices charged for Deluxe rooms. Even allowing for the fact that Cooktown is remote and therefore one could expect to pay premium prices, $175 a night is way over the top for what is essentially... More

This motel has the most stunning views of the Endeavour River. We had overnight accommodation, clean and comfortable just an older type of room but the views from our shared patio were magnificent we were blessed with gorgeous weather also which certainly added to the occassion. Friendly reception staff nice to be greeted by a smile after travelling. Had a... More

The Seaview is in a great position on the waterfront. I had a partly self contained room, with a bar fridge and microwave that was very clean and comfortable. It was lovely to have a beautiful river view also. The staff were friendly and I was able to leave my bags at reception after checking out as I waited for... More

We stayed here for one night in the deluxe room. From reading the other reviews, it seems our mistake might have been not requesting a room with a view. Ours looked onto the parking lot. The room itself was huge, tiled floors but very basic. The bathroom too. Both were impeccably clean. But the price was exhorbitant given how basic... More

We stayed in one of the garden rooms. These were older style rooms, but were clean, comfortable and had everything you would need. The fact that it opened onto a shared garden area with BBQ was nice and was better than having a private balcony. The views over the Endeavour River were outstanding. The room cost $110 which was excellent... More

Stayed in semi self contained room, which means it had a sink, microwave, plates and utensils. Rooms are old and basic but well managed and well maintained. There is not much choice of accommodation in Cooktown and tour buses can fill the motel. So prices are a little expensive for what you get, although many places would charge a premium... More

After quite a few days 4x4 ing in far North Queensland, this Motel was an oasis. Breakfast - left in our fridge was lovely, the beds were comfortable and the towels were soft. I would love to stay here again.

We stayed at the Seaview for two nights. We had a semi self contained room which we shared with my mother-in-law. The service was very friendly upon arrival form reception to the cleaning staff making sure that we had everything we needed in the room. The room was very clean and the view from the balcony was amazing. The sunset... More

We stopped over for the night as we made the trip up from the Daintree along the Bloomfield track. We wanted to take the time to enjoy Cooktown and we found this motel to be a good price with some comfy beds. The pool was a bit cold but that was ok as it was very windy. The kitchenette was... We are seasoned travellers but I found accommodation in Cooktown quite hit and miss. We booked into a motel in town and decided not to stay. So, Seaview (we stayed in the new part) was a breath of fresh air, literally. The rooms were clean, bright and breezy and the bed comfortable. We had lovely views and I would certainly... More
