A big thank you to Dave and his fab team for looking after us after being terribly disappointed our 2 bedroom apartment wasn't available. Tori, Raquel and Thomas in the Balcony restaurant were a delight and Gayle and the girls at reception lovely. Can't wait to come back a see the finished result of the reno!

We had lunch on our first day in Cooktown at the hotel and it was delicious, affordable and served promptly by happy, friendly staff. What more could you ask for? The seafood was fresh and the salad was impressive, probably the best we had in far north Queensland which was a surprise after four days dining in Port Douglas.

Although the hotel was torn apart while we were there, I can't wait to see it when it's done. Lots of potential. The pool was beautiful and warm. The atmosphere is charming and the staff went out of their way to be polite and helpful.

We had booked 3 nights at this "resort" hotel but on arrival found it more like a building site. We were also advised that the balcony restaurant was closed and the only breakfast available was room service. We had not been advised of these issues when booking a few days earlier and when we said we were not happy were... More

Located just off the main street it is within easy access to the museum, local walks and green hill look out. The rooms are modern and roomy with balconies. The bar offers outside seating and well priced food and drinks. There is a large pool, rooms are reasonably quiete with air con and fans.

My husband & I weren't expecting much from a Cooktown hotel so we were pleasantly surprised when we turned up. No reservation but they let us check in early. Pretty much had a pool to ourselves the whole time - so lovely! The whole place was clean, tidy, well maintained & affordable. Had a nice dinner & breakfast from the... More

Hi spumkin, Thanks for your review and feedback. So happy you enjoyed the pool, it is a great surprise to most people when they make their way through reception to the rooms to be surprised by the huge resort style pool. We fixed the phone too, thank you :) Hope to see you again. Cheers, Brendan Cullen More

Just a 1 night stay, but this resort has a host of amenities you wouldn't expect to see in a remote location. Pool is great, bars are great, staff only too willing to assist. The 2 bed unit we had for 4 of us was open and spacious, with a balcony - perfect for breakfast. Sharing a unit, reduces the... More

The staff were so friendly & very welcoming. Beautiful pool & gardens. 2 restaurant choices, pub or up market large restaurant upstairs which was worth the experience. We stayed in ground level motel units which were large, modern & very comfortable. They had a little porch out the front which was a great spot to sit & read or use... More
