I spent 3 nights here in a 1 BR cabin, and couldn't fault it. The bedding was comfortable, the cabin had a full kitchen, and I was all of a 50 m walk to the large pool. The cabins do not have laundries, but laundry facilities are available within the park. There is a large camp kitchen - which I... More

We stayed 3 nights in a powered site with our van. We got put down the back near the swamp. If you like getting eaten alive by midges this is the place. Amenities were very clean and tidy, ground staff very helpful. Reception staff were nice and polite. The whole park needs fogging for midges.

This is an excellent park. The facilities are great, lovely pool and great facilities. Large camp kitchen with dining area. Bathroom facilities are excellent, nice to have some privacy. Facilities are extremely clean and looked after. Lovely grassy sites with lots of shady trees. Easy walking distance to town. After spending 2 weeks travelling north of Cooktown on dusty roads... My wife and I regularly tour all parts of Australia and we stayed here on a powered site in 2012 and as we remembered how pleasant our previous stay was we booked another powered site for two nights and paid a deposit by credit card. Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances we were unable to get there. We were also outside... More

Stayed in an ensuite cabin for two nights. Parts of the cabin especially the bathroom are in need of maintenance - obvious water damage. My husband enjoyed the pool area. Was generally clean and comfortable. Served the purpose.

What a lovely surprise, a well laid out park with good caravan sites. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The unisex amenities although a great concept however do create problems when needing a toilet and it is being used for a shower. If the pool was heated it would be great and therefore allowing older ones to use it.

My family and I had a great stay after being stranded for a week when our Rangers transmission stopped working. The staff were very helpful to us and Tammy even offered to drive us and the kids to the shops if we needed it. Clive offered to drive us and our camper trailer to Cairns on his day off so... More

Park is very average. A lot of midgies (sandfly's) & bugs. We were bitten whilst we were only inspecting the sites. Gave it a wide birth. Stayed at the Peninsula Caravan Park instead. No midgies but lots of other creepy crawlies. The view from Grassy Hill is stunning. Great photo opportunity. Only small town! If you have a reliable 4x4... More

Stayed 5 days tent camping in a powered site. The park was well maintained, shady and the staff welcoming and friendly. It was lovely to relax in the pool and cook our meals in the huge and modern kitchen. The bathrooms could do with a bit of an update, but they were perfectly functional. Would stay here again!
