All was excellent!!! ...except for the fact I was asked on its paperwork not to use my van's washing machine! (Showering in van was permitted.) I would prefer to pay an extra $1-2 per night for this right, and to cover lost profit, especially when the caravan park only has three out of its four machines working. To make matters... More

After our recent encounter with a cattle truck, we found ourselves stranded at Bailey Bar caravan park. What a pleasant surprise , lovely staff, very sympathetic to our misfortune, especially the lovely Sarah and Rhonda who could not do enough to help and bent over backwards to make our stay as comfortable as possible. They even made our dog feel... More

We chose Baileys Bar because of its well kept and very green appearance. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and directed us to a site which seemed suitable for our needs. The facilities had been given character with various pictures and signs. It does not take much to have a bad opinion of a place and ours was spoiled... More

We stayed in Charleville for 3 nights in this park & it's by far the best in & around town. ALL the staff are fantastic. Mark & Rhonda are great managers with genuine friendly country hospitality that goes beyond just their job. They have given this park heart & soul which some other parks could learn from. The amenities are... More

We found the staff and atmosphere of this place wonderful. We camped with two young children and found it relaxing. The staff are friendly, the amenities clean and the whole place welcoming. Loved the resident animals as did my girls. Only thing lacking was a pool, but that didn't bother us as we were only staying one night.

We were welcomed by a pleasant lady who at all times used our names, and was very happy to show us to our overnight drive thru site. I was pleasantly surprised with the amenities, that had obviously undergone an excellent renovation. Paper towel was a big plus too! The previous day the town had received 4" of much awaited rain,... We came for a break from busy everydayness on the Coast to enjoy the Charleville Cup Festival and outback Queensland. Wendy and Julien are so welcoming and helpful.perfect hosts . Our cabin had all the essentials and was clean and fresh. The only thing we did miss was ABC and SBS reception but that is a reflection of service provision... More

Thank you for your lovely comments. The drought has certainly hit hard out here and we all appreciate it when visitors come and stay which helps our economy and gets the word out to others about how we need that sort of help. Last year, The Bailey Bar Caravan Park raised $10 500 for Aussie Helpers through our Yabby Races.... More

We chose this park on the basis of Wikicamp ratings and Top Tourist membership. We weren't disappointed but weren't over the moon either. The only complaint was the fact that the showers were too hot. That's a complaint?

We welcome your comments about the water, but as you will notice in other comments on this site, the water is one thing beyond our control... as Mother Nature has her own ideas about how hot she likes to heat our Artesian Water. I'm sorry about that.. we do as much as we can to cool it and even turn... More
