My wife and I have been travelling the east coast for years so we have driven through Cardwell on may occasions. We finally got the opportunity to stay and we were not disappointed, The area was smashed by cyclone Yasi and Larry and the owners of the Beachcomber have done a marvellous job rebuilding the park and the cabins. Very... More

The location is excellent, just by the beach. The facilities are old but clean. The sites are too small for modern larger caravans. The drive through sites just barely coped with our 16 m length. However the width was very narrow and didn't allow us to fully extend our awning. We coped ok, but just reporting how it is. We... More

I booked our stay for this accommodation through wotif. Upon check in ther was a few little dramas that were sorted out quickly but the lady at reception did recommend booking directly through them. We booked a downstairs room with a queen and a king single. The room itself was clean and tidy with an exceptional view of Cardwell beach... More

Thank you for your review and we are pleased you were happy with your stay, and particularly our great pizzas.I am sorry that you were under the impression that we did not supply tea and coffee making facilities. They are in fact located in an alcove above the refrigerator , behind a small roller door. Our rooms were totally refurbished recently and... Went to dinner here made a reservation one evening for 6.30pm arrived earlier at 6pm we were happy to sit outside and enjoy a drink if our table was already accompanied, lucky for us it wasn't so we were seated straight away which was great! A staff member took our order for drinks a couple mins later then our meals... More

The proprietors have done very well to redevelop the park since cyclon Yais. The amenies block, restaurant, and pool are all in tip top condition. The caravan powered sites can be very tight for room, once you're in your site, you may need to ask your neighbour to move their car so you can put down the struts on your van.... This motel was a pleasant surprise with wonderful views across to Hinchinbrook island. Our room was very spacious & clean. The beds were comfortable. Our airconditioning wasn't working so had to keep door open with security screen shut & were woken at 5am with road noise. It was great having restaurant & bar on site & our seafood was terrific.

This is another great caravan park right beside the beach, lovely tropical gardens, older facilities but spotlessly clean. A real bonus is the super bar and restaurant overlooking the beach. happy hour starts at 4.30pm and is not to be missed, friendly helpful management and staff, would have stayed longer if we could have.

We just had delightful 9 nights in the caravan park here. Grounds are tidy and functional with that wonderful tropical lushness. The facilities whilst a little old were kept clean and functional. Camp kitchen and BBQ's.looked good and were always clean. The highlight for us though was the restaurant. Bar opened at 4:30 and you would normally sit outside looking... More

We stayed for two nights in a self-contained cabin which offered everything we basically needed and was clean enough on arrival. It seemed a bit too pricey though for the rather run-down state it was in – we paid 95 AUD per unit per night. We liked the location close to the beach and the pool, but were a bit... More
