Don't bother staying here!! Cape Tribulation is a gorgeous place but any other hostel had to be better than this. Our room was literally a shed with a few beds thrown in it. Kitchen is absolutely dire, filthy with no utensils, ugh it was disgusting. The bar and kitchen were an absolute rip off and the internet was a joke-$9... more

PK's Jungle Village was a great get away from the city life, the sights in cape trib are unlike anything you have ever seen. During my stay here the locals to me under there wings showing me all the the great sights that you only get to see through living there. Over my time here got to see all the... more

If you like... * smelly, dirty toilets... * rude staff... * MASSIVE spiders.... * crappy rooms * unsightly showers Go to PKs... We stayed for 15 minutes and headed back to Cairns for the best night out! Funny thing is you can get an unreal clean hotel room with a pool and excellent facitilies in Cairns for $70 a night....... more

Really wish we hadnt decided to stay in Cape Trib and had headed back to Cairns or Port Douglas after a day trip. We were recommended to come here by a friend (did not thank her afterwards!). We had a tiny tin hut which was damp and smelly. The hostel is a very short walk to the beach but there... more

I booked a trip from Cairns to Cape Trib during a month's holiday in Australia and chose the package with 1 night's stay at PKs. Really glad I chose PK's it was lovely. The rooms are in little huts with 6/7/8 beds. The complex is right on the beach and the beach is absolutely stunning. I couldn't believe how deserted... more

I did not like this hostel at all....the staff were unhelpful..If you wanted to check out god forbid that you had to disturb them in order to so so. The kitchen was scabby, although its a hostel when you see what others do it makes you realise... the bar is really loud and stops you sleeping.... theres a 'restaurant' where... more

We didn't actually stay at PK's so I can't comment on the rooms, but we did visit the bar, which had a lively atmosphere and was filled with youths from all over the world. The bar has a rustic jungle feel, and they played bar games, including toad races. The Canadian Toad won us a free pitcher of beer. Lively... more

Amazing how much there is to do, being in the middle of no-where. Had to stay a few more nights to fit it all in. Definately a must if you want to see the depths of the ozzy rain forest. All guides were full of local info and could answer all questions. Fab...... more
