Location wise PK's is great, only a few minutes walk from the beach and central to all the activities in the area. The dorm room however was less than desirable. The room smelt musty, had no hooks to hang your things or a mirror. There was only 1 small window near the ceiling, which hardly let any light or air... More

Pks is at a great spot but the service and conditions are very secound class. The staff i found are all woofing for meals and accomm. @$80 a day and being treated as slaves at this resort. Meals are poor and the asian who works in the kitchen was rude and totally not a chef. The state of kitchen was... More

We stayed here one night as we were going on a snorkel tour organised close by. Perhaps for a backpacking experience this could be ok, but I wouldn't return. We booked a double ensuite room. The room was musty and smelly. By turning the fridge off (we guess to save electricity) meant that the smell inside was awful. Rooms were... More

We were travelling as a group, so not my first choice which effects my opinion. Obviously a stunning part of the country, beautiful beach access, just a little under done. Rooms over priced for how basic they are and how minimal services are. Staff were hit and miss, I imagine it is difficult due to location, however little things like... More

PK's is nothing special. It's central to Cape Trib, but not a great accommodation. The rooms are like jail cells, with no mirrors and only one outlet. There were no hooks to hang wet towels/bathing suits. The shared bathroom was pretty gross. Pretty sure the showers hasn't been cleaned in weeks and two out of four sinks were plugged. The... More

Close walk to the beach, right next door to the canopy surfing / kayaking provider, the bar and huts are all set out well and the grounds are well maintained. The staff are terrible - no idea what they are doing and very rude. We waited about 10 minutes to be served even though there were 2 girls at the... More

I had a few days to kill before a wedding in clifton beach so i headed to cape trib. Unpowered site was such a tranquil setting and everything you need within walking distance. The food was great and the beer was cold. Will go back again for sure.

My first visit to Cape tribe, I expected there to be more to do but didn't mind as Pk's was lots of fun! It was a quiet night for the hostel but the bar still went off! The drink specials and the pizza's can't be faulted and the pool comp helped for everyone to socialise. Everything about it is cheap.... More

Hmmm we were looking to stay here rather then go back to another place...for no reason other then to try out another area as we love the daintree. Worst possible place in our view we walked in and could hear the staff fighting over something we waited 15 minutes to be even noticed. Miserable place avoid. Shame .

My partner and I hired a car and did a 2 night Visit to the daintree/ cape tribulation. The area itself is absolutely stunning and well worth the visit, however the hostel left much to be desired. I found being close to nature quite charming, but also felt a little more effort cleaning could be made for us poms who... More
