I had a few days to kill before a wedding in clifton beach so i headed to cape trib. Unpowered site was such a tranquil setting and everything you need within walking distance. The food was great and the beer was cold. Will go back again for sure.

My first visit to Cape tribe, I expected there to be more to do but didn't mind as Pk's was lots of fun! It was a quiet night for the hostel but the bar still went off! The drink specials and the pizza's can't be faulted and the pool comp helped for everyone to socialise. Everything about it is cheap.... More

Hmmm we were looking to stay here rather then go back to another place...for no reason other then to try out another area as we love the daintree. Worst possible place in our view we walked in and could hear the staff fighting over something we waited 15 minutes to be even noticed. Miserable place avoid. Shame .

My partner and I hired a car and did a 2 night Visit to the daintree/ cape tribulation. The area itself is absolutely stunning and well worth the visit, however the hostel left much to be desired. I found being close to nature quite charming, but also felt a little more effort cleaning could be made for us poms who... More

Stayed here for 2 nights with the missus, just to get away from work for a bit. Arrived late monday evening from cairns, met a friendly barman who was helpful getting us checked in and a character!! Got settled, headed back to the bar for dinner and a few drinks before bed. Steak sanga was simple but tasty and filling.... More

U really do come to this place for the nightlife! $10 jugs of cider make for a few tipsy intros to the plethora of backpackers and uni students. Shared dorms were a step up for me from camping and the showers were old but adequate. Love the pizzas. Hop skip and a jump from the beach, reef trips and of... More

i spent 29 days at pks working as a "woofer" and i have very little positive to say about the experience. going there from cairns due to the promise of paid work (all lies) found the place to resemble a slave labour camp more than a fun hostel. workers being yelled and screamed at by the manager mark and fired... PK's is absolutely nothing like it has ever been before in the past! The establishment itself is very immaculate, the food for a backpacker place literally exceeded all expectations, all the staff are so friendly, from Emma at reception or Mark who will literally bend over backwards to fix any issue to accommodate a large massive group to the bar... We travelled up here in a small campervan and were put at the back of the property by request to avoid noise from the bar. Great little spot. Didnt hear a thing, everyone appears to respect the no nouse polocy after a certain time. There is everthing you need here for a few days stay. The reception staff couldn't have... More

I was here yesterday and had a bad experience all round. The rooms are dirty (blood stains on the walls). My burger was made incorrectly and I sent it back and watched it get sent straight back out to another table after I had pulled it apart and put it back together and when informing them I got a rude...
