We camped here on an unpowered camp site for one night on our way from Cooktown to Port Douglas. We arrived quite early (around 1.30pm) and the lady on reception told us to just choose our own campsite. We chose one that was only metres from the beach. Straight away, the kids went to the beach and that was it... More

What a well kept camp ground. This place is not only situated on a beautiful beach but is run very well too with friendly staff. A great base to explore the reef, rainforest and daintree. An added bonus are the awesome wood fired pizzas - yummo! Thanks for a great stay

Unfortunately because of the rain we had to bail out of our safari tent and go in search of more civilised facilities, but we still thought Cape Trib camping was a lovely place and would be perfect in the dry season. I loved the bush turkeys cruising around and not being Australian I was amused by the cane toads. I... More

We recently stayed at Cape Trib camping for 2 nights. The staff here are amazing and the girls worked long hours to make sure everything is right. As everyone has said, the pizzas are great. There is a few downsides. The powered caravan sites are tiny and squashed together making it hard to park your car near your van. The... More

Great place to camp with very good amenities. The kitchen has gas cookers and BBQ. Bathrooms are clean, but showers need a stool or shelves. The bar is lively and staff are helpful. Pizzas looked great, but didn't try. We stuck to our own cooking, but could not resist the temptation of some cold beers. We had a very good... More

My family and I stayed at Cape Trib Camping in one of their 'safari tents' for about four days last month. I was pleasantly surprised as the entrance and façade to the reception looked rather modern compared to some of the campsites that I've seen both over the internet and in my few travels. We went inside to collect the... More

Great looking place, nice and tidy, however, if you are offered the "Bush Camping" take note that you won't want to stay there more than one night. The area is where the Grey water is dispersed after treatment and can smell on the 2nd and 3rd night. Staff is friendly and the faculties clean. Pizza is impressive as is the... More

After a horse ride in Cape Trib we dropped into Cape Trib camping as word had it that the woodfire pizza was excellent. Not only were the staff incredibly friendly and great to chat with but the pizza definitely surpassed out expectations. So many woodfire pizza's i've had have been burnt yet this one was not only well cooked but... More

Even though it's been raining quite steadily, we took a drive up to Cape Trib and stopped at the campground for dinner. We got two pizza's and I have to say we were not disappointed. This is the type of thing totally unexpected and totally worth the stop. We took a look at the adjacent beach but the weather kept... More

We wish we could have stayed longer.....great location, great people and the best pizzas outside of Italy. This is a wonderful destination and a world class drive up to the Cape which has to be on the bucket list. Top that with a campsite that is well run, compact, clean and friendly is a bonus. Beware of the garlic bread,... More
