This is a fantastic place to getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. Marina and Rob are charming hosts and fantastic cooks. It reminded us a bit of a French gite, but with the wow factor of a Spanish Parador! A very special place.

We really do appreciate your comments. Lovely guests make it a pleasure. If you are interested in staying at The Bunyip please contact us personally or book directly on our website. The online agents often show we are booked out when there are rooms available. And breakfast is included in our direct rate. Cheers Rob More

We had the most wonderful weekend here. Arrived just as a big storm was rolling in and to watch that coming over the mountains was absolutely breathtaking! The rooms are very modern, well designed and well equipped. The fridge was appreciated - some lovely goodies were provided to keep us going but also to store our snacks and wine and... More

An outstandingly beautiful place to relax, unwind, recharge. My wife was particularly taken by the spectacular outlook to the scenic rim. Beautiful pool to swim in. Fireplace in the great room. Grass tennis court to play on if desired. A great place to spend her birthday. Fantastic hosts (Rob and Marena), truly amazing meals prepared. Highly recommended location, particularly to... More

It has taken me a while to write this review but I will never forget our weekend away at this B&B. It was a perfect relaxing weekend. We enjoyed swimming and just laying around not doing much at all. The host Rob was friendly and cooked even better than me (if only my husband could learn). Thanks for a lovely... More

This is a lovely place to get away for a few nights. Accomodation is clean, spacious and the natural light is beautiful- all rooms have the same view of green mountains and grass. We ate here both nights where Rob and Marina cooked up a delicious 3 course meal both nights for us- they are the most lovely couple. I... More

This is a luxury B&B masquerading as a luxury lodge. On one hand it's a credit to the owners that they manage to do everything themselves. On the other hand it's a bit disconcerting that the same two people cook the meals, clean the toilets, mow the lawn and do the massage. It is also impossible to meet the standards... More

In thousands of small hospitality businesses across Australia and the world, and I'd guess larger ones too, staff and proprietors multi task or perform different roles on the same day. Cleaners might become kitchen hands, front of house staff become wait staff, kitchen staff are required to maintain their own bathrooms and yes, clean the toilet. Your mother did it... More

The Bunyip is a beautiful weekend getaway. The Great Room was all ours over the weekend, allowing us free range of shared facilities and take in the spectacular views. We were spoiled by Marina and Rob. From the delicious meals, to the spacious and well-appointed apartments, everything was designed for comfort and relaxation. I would recommend the Bunyip for those... More

Rob and Marina are the perfect hosts. They make one feel that one is staying at one's own private holiday home in the hills outside Brisbane. But they take it a notch further with attentive but unobtrusive service. The meals are out of this world ... Michelin star quality. It's the perfect place to unwind, relax and take in some... More

My 3rd stay at The Bunyip was a few months ago and I am reviewing it now because I recommended it to friends who stayed there last night, visited me today, and then are staying at The Bunyip again tonight- and I realised that I haven't reviewed it. Everyone should stay at this wonderful place!!! Beautiful accommodation, views, food and... More
