Though this hotel is nothing flashy, it was an excellent place to stay. Check in is in the Bottle shop of this 90+ year old hotel. We were led up the grand staircase to our room. As I stated before, not flash, but clean, with an attached toilet/shower room. We opened the door out to the balcony and looked out... More

This is a great place to stay with friendly welcoming hosts, great meals from the hotels chinese restaurant and a pleasant place to enjoy a quiet drink. There are some great swimming holes within a few minutes drive and the boat ramp up the road provides easy access to the franklin islands for some great fishing

Very happy with our stay at the State Hotel, clean and very comfortable with ensuite, air-conditioning, TV and fans. Recently renovated after "larry", still with the old world charm. The Hosts very welcoming, staff friendly and the Restaurant good food and great price.

This Hotel is situated in the middle of Babinda on the main street. From what I saw it would be the hub of the community. We stayed upstairs in rooms with their own ensuite which had recently been renovated. The beds were very comfortable with each room having their own television. There is a communal mini-kitchen for tea and coffee... More
