Its not the luxury end of the market, but they advertise a clean, comfortable and friendly place to stay and that's what you get at a reasonable rate too. The owners were really friendly and helpful and when I asked for a late breakfast at short notice no problem and it was good and very reasonably priced. Enjoyed my stay.

Good position between Ayr and townsville - easily spotted. We wanted budget accommodation and payed $85 for our double bed. The staff were friendly in the reception. There was also LOADS of DVDs for you to borrow and they're all listed in the guest book. But when we got into the room, the main light didn't work and neither did... More

Located directly on the Bruce Highway on the edge on town so you will hear a little noise from traffic . check in staff were very friendly and pointed out the complimentary movies which is a nice touch . Overall I would have to disagree with some reviewers as i thought the motel was very tired looking and much in... More

After the overpriced rat hole we stayed in the previous night, it was a delight to find this motel while passing through Ayr (North Queensland). Effort has been made to present the room very nicely, and the room itself is one of the largest we've seen - almost big enough to call a one bedroom unit, although there are extra... More

Old, small, basic motel that has had a repaint and a soft furnishing makeover. It is on the northern approach to Ayr just outside the 60 zone. Is it really in Ayr - you'll have to decide. Friendly reception and the room was clean. Is it value for money? Difficult to answer. It is a good overnighter - but is... More

The fan in the room worked but although its had 6 settings it only seemed to have two settings, off and on! Comfortable room though but further out of town than maps show. Thankfully there are signs stating that its 1.5km north of town if you are arriving from the south. The owner is aware and trying to have this... More

Travelled to Ayr for wedding, stayed for 2 nights with an Aunty in a twin share room. Was quite roomy considering we visited friends staying a few blocks away in same size room and they had no space at all compared to us. Single level units with car park directly in front. Reception were very helpful for all our needs.... More

My wife and I stayed here for 1 night. The owners are very friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome immediately. The room we stayed in was just big enough. It was rather dirty, depressing and tired and had a very noisy window rattling airconditioner that was a nuisance. The toilet paper was contained in a secure enclosure that... More

Management response:

We were sorry to hear of your disappointment with our Motel. However, in 2008 we had only just purchased this business and since then have completely refurbished all rooms to a very high standard, as well as improved the surrounding areas, such as the gardens, pool etc. Maybe one day you may visit us again, which we would welcome, so...
