We picked this place so we can see wildlife at night. In the morning, many birds are chirping, it's lovely. In the evening, the viewing starts around 7:30pm, we saw sugar gliders. We were hoping to see more animals but maybe it was not the night.

Chambers Wildlife lodge is situated in a patch of rainforest near Lake Eacham. We spent a night here in a cabin that was close to the observation deck for viewing possums at night, and were thrilled to see both striped possums and sugar gliders at close quarters. The room was very spacious, with a king size bed and lounge/kitchen. The... More

We stayed 7 nights and didn't want to leave. The lodge was basic but very comfortable with king bed and recliner chairs. The highlights are the peace and quiet in beautiful real rainforest setting. Feeding the birds on the balcony by hand was great but watch out for the greedy brush turkeys! The location is perfect as a base for... More

We stayed with our son and it was his favourite place on our trip to the atherton tablelands. We stayed in number 6 and they have only 3 rooms in each group. They are surrounded bye rainforest and the sounds of the forest were amazing to wake up too. The room was very comfortable. Great fully stocked kitchen and great... More

There was a massive spider in our room... I recognised it as harmless but it still had to go. After the demise of the anacrid. ..life in the Rainforest was perfect. The rooms are lovely with the sounds of the rainforest. Clean...big beds...reasonable showers. But...the...win here are the visitors you receive - sugar gliders, striped possums, frogs, bandicoots and birds. This... More

Couldn't recommend this lodge enough for wildlife enthusiasts. We stayed here for two nights on our honeymoon and had an absolute ball. John chambers was able to recommend to us a number of wildlife locations in the region for our day trips aswell as the diverse range of birds and mammals we were able to see on site! We had... More

We stayed here with our 2 children hoping to see some wildlife and birds and weren't disappointed - every evening we saw striped possums and sugar gliders and during the day a variety of birds came to eat fruit from our balcony. Lovely little swimming pool and a good family room with chess and a pool table etc. The rooms... More

Our 3rd visit and, again, it won't be our last! If you're wanting somewhere quiet, clean, private, self contained, and exceptionally comfortable, then this is the place for you. No mobile phone coverage, which is always a huge plus for us, but free wifi to enable some interaction with the outside world... The wildlife is an added bonus, along with... More

My friend and i stayed here on the nights of 4/5/6 february 2015. We had cabin No. 1 which was rustic but excellent. The cabin had a double bedroom with en-suite and a lounge with a kitchen and t.v. The kitchen had everything we could need including microwave, gas hotplate, electric frying pan, toaster, electric kettle and fridge. The cabin... More

My husband, two young sons, and I stayed here for two nights. Our self-contained unit was comfortable, clean, had all we needed. Two extremely comfortable reclining arm chairs, a lovely little veranda perfect for brekkie and feeding birds, good digital TV, free wi-fi, and a very strong air conditioner were some of the pleasant surprises that came with what at...
