we travel both budget and expensive accommodation and sometimes travel with a camptrailer which we did this trip and got some issues while traveling offroad so we headed to Atherton to stay for two nights so we could get a back windscreen replaced and fix the trailer. We found this little place on google and they had vacancies and was... More

As a town itself, Atherton, doesn't feel that nice, a bit too businessy and with little character. So, it is good that the Atherton Hinterland Motel is slightly away from town. There appear to be two blocks. One that is directly attached to the reception, and another along a private driveway. Parking is right in front of your room and... More

Fabulous service, incredibly large servings of food for room service (very cheap), and a lovely location. It may have been small, but it was cheap and cheerful. I had a lovely view down into a rainforest gully from the desk. Free wifi also a bonus.

There are two styles of room, get the more expensive as the cheaper ones are very run down. Even the more expensive are well past their prime, but they're clean (to begin with) and reasonably comfortable. Rooms have toasters and microwaves, which is nice to see. The free WiFi works well most of the time, though it did drop out... More

We just had so much fun staying with you in your spunky apartments. Thanks so much for having us, we will see you again! I loved that there was rainforest right outside the window! Also great hot water and excellent water pressure.

Arrived at the Atherton Hinterland Motel for a short, one night stay. Chap at reception was friendly and helpful and gave some good directions. Unfortunately the room wasn't so good. The room was incredibly dated, brown, brown, brown. Bed was uncomfortable, ash tray outside of room was literally overflowing, bathroom was creaky and toilet was squeaky. OK if you are... More

We stayed two nights while exploring the tablelands. The owners were friendly and helpful. The rooms, while a little dated, had everything you need and were very comfortable, especially the bed! Breakfast and dinner were avaliable to you room and while we didnt make use of it, it seemed fairly priced. The free Wifi was superb!! It was a great... More

We had one night at the Hinterland at the end of week long holiday and it was just perfect. We arrived to a warm welcome and were able to check in early which was very helpful. The room was large, well appointed and spotlessly clean. We were delighted to find that we had a really good wireless internet connection for... More

We stumbled across this place as we were looking for accommodation in the Atherton area. We were pleasantly surprised by the hospitality of the owners, who went out of there way to assist us in making our stay as nice as possible. We would definitely recommend this hotel to those who are after a genuine relaxing holiday. Not too far... More

Atherton is a great base for the tourist, seeking to get away from Cairns for a few days. We found the Atherton Hinterland Motel clean and tidy, with friendly staff. It may not be the 'newest' motel in town, but is only a few blocks away from shopping centre, quiet and a lovely bushland setting.
