Peppers charges at the higher end of the scale so there is an expectation that one will get peace and quiet in one's room. Do not book the 'deluxe spa rooms'. Well away from the main building they are made of tin - 4 flats per building. Who knows what our upstairs neighbours were up to at 1.00am but their... More

My husband and I went there for my 70th birthday on 27th October. The little villa we stayed in was clean but very dark, the bathroom was cold as the window was kept open to let the shower steam out. Fortunately the bed was comfortable and there were cane chairs to sit in to watch tv if you wanted. The... More

We have been seriously looking forward to this getaway for some time. We stayed two nights Sunday and Monday in the Garden Spa Villa which is one of the nicer rooms split over two levels with the gas log fire. Overall it was very nice, all staff courteous and the dinner we had at the argus dining room was exceptional... More

It was my partner's 30th Birthday celebration, so I decided to book in a tranquility package in the garden classic room a month before the date. Upon booking, the service manager emailed me if I had any special request, if it was a special occasion suggesting they are able to provide produce, chocolates, fruits and a bottle of bubbly to... Peppers is a somewhat difficult accommodation to rate. The graceful old main building and gardens with sweeping views are both a pleasure. The guest library and opulent lounge are very inviting. The Argus Dining Room has delicious, inventive locally source food. We had a Springs Classic room which was on the first floor of the main building, no view or... More

While the room left a few things to be desired, the overall experience was quite good. The Delux Spa room wasn't what we expected. It was smaller than we expected and some aspects need to be addressed. We applaud their environmental considerations in using "Super Saver" style lighting, but the result in the bathroom is quite dark. My wife needed... More

I was lucky enough to be shouted the head-to-toe package at the mineral spa and it was the best spa experience I have ever had. Also the service we received at lunch in The Conservatory was perfect and the waitress was extremely attentive (but not annoyingly so). And the food...delicious!! The beetroot carpaccio I had never tried before, and am... More

Peppers is looking a bit tired. The room decor is definitely aging and the rooms are distinctly dated. Our rooms (in the 240s) had no outlook, which is a pity considering the bush location. The rooms were large and the bed was very comfy, but seating was less than optimal. The bathroom was adequate. Lighting was very seventies. On the... More

The terrace hotel room that I stayed in was delightful with a comfortable king size bed, a spacious bathroom with a large spa bath and views from the bathroom out to the Hepburn Springs. There was a large balcony with table and chairs also offering a lovely view to the hotel gardens and surrounding countryside. The room was spotlessly clean... More

Loved this place, really well fitted out and traditional. Menu was excellent, wines perfect and service great. A great place for a quiet getaway, nice quality throughout. Log fire roaring away in the dining room in winter. A definite return place.
