I have reviewed already on a weekend we stayed and totally enjoy it 10/10 so I wouldn't need to review it again, but after just reading the last 2 I had to review it again and clarify something... As we both did double shifts on the weekend and had 3 days off we book a deal (Royal Escape Package) for... More

Sooo disappointed! I was given a night a the Royal for my birthday and on looking at the website, I was so excited. It looked fabulous.I've gone over all the pages on the website again, looking for our room and can't see it in any of the photos and if the photos are accurate then it looks like we unfortunately... Have just returned from staying at the royal in daylesford, checked in on Sunday the 3/05/15 We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary, staff member was absolutely delightful, there was nothing she wouldn't do or explain to us. Went to our room and was impressed with what we had booked, centrally located, spacious apartment ,lovely furnishings. We ate in the hotel that nite and had... More

Hi George, Thanks so much for your feedback! I am very sorry to hear about how you were treated. It is true we were not aware of the tree being cut down, especially at that hour, however the manner in which you were told this was not acceptable. We have spoken to Ian about this issue, and we are truly... More

We were here for 2 nights recently and had a very relaxing stay. The rooms are clean and spacious with access to the wonderful balcony. We stayed in room 9 which was just above the smokers area so it became a bit overwhelming with cigarette smells on the odd occasion when sitting outside. Perhaps one of the rooms further away... We stayed for just one night at this historic hotel but enjoyed the recently renovated facilities and were very impressed by our suite, which was very well furnished. The hotel was built in 1856 and has lost none of its charm whilst the rooms have been upgraded. We ate at the in-house restaurant and the food was good. Not a... More

Had drinks and dinner at the Daylesford hotel over Easter and it was really good. Sometime ago the new owners renovated the oub but it was too stark in the main bar: now aome tweaking and the mix is just perfect: cosy with a club lounge feel that fits the country pub. Followed up with dinner in the restaurant. The... More

We stayed 3 nights over Easter in what I think is called an Executive Suite. Anyway, It was Room 6, and it was very comfortable - plenty of space, balcony access and an especially lovely shower. (Spa bath too, but we didn't use it). Now, to explain the title of this review… There are 2 hotels, 100 metres apart, that... More

We stayed 3 nights at the Royal Hotel in Daylesfordwhich is located at the top end of the main street within easy walking distance of the main Daylesford shops and restaurants. Our first night was in a standard room ( only room available on this night ) which was a little small and had a very tired bathroom that could... More

Went here for dinner last night. We hadn't booked but the friendly staff sorted a table for us even though it was mostly booked due to a festival. The food was excellent with the sausages & mash and the pasta dish. The pub itself was very stylish with a beer garden and smart rooms although only a small bar which... More

This is a large hotel centrally located in the Main Street. It has a big bar and restaurant. Our check in was efficient and friendly. A car park is at the rear. Our room was of a good size (5) with all the necessary requirements. Comfortable bed, Aircon, and a fridge with all tea making facilities. Most enjoyable stay.
