What a beautiful old place. Stayed on a Monday night and had the whole place to ourselves. We stayed in the "Yellow" room which had a beautiful claw bath which I loved but my partner would have preferred a shower (it's a male thing!) Loved the quirky wooden toilet too. The place has an outdoor spa which was great but... More

I have had the pleasure of staying at the Manse with my fiancé countless times. Every single time we go, it's as if the Manse got better. I will forever be loyal to the place, simply because it never let's us down. To anyone thinking of going to the Manse, a few suggestions; 1) Don't justify it. We often drive... More

We stayed two nights in their green room in Feb 2015. Booked ages ago and emailed them in the last week to confirm our booking but never received a reply. Odd way to run a business. However a phone call confirmed that all was fine and we checked in no problem. Beautiful room, absolutely gorgeous views, quirky little water closet... More

We had a one night stay in the Zebra room, and it was such a beautiful elegant room, we even had a claw foot bath!! The bed was comfy and the room layout was great. We stayed as we had a wedding, and it was walking distance to the towns centre and other key points in the town. Ally was... More

This place is just gorgeous! A beautiful old Edwardian home tucked up behind the town centre.. We've got the Plum room & even though it's summer, it's still cool so we lit our Fire and chilled on the bed drinking wine and reading a good book.. This is only day 1.. There's a jacuzzi we can use anytime and our... More

I have memories of going to the Manse many years ago to play with the daughter of the Minister of that time, so it was with great excitement that I returned, very recently, for a three night stay in the Plum Room. We were contacted in the morning with easy to follow instructions for finding the key, etc., and told... More

Thank you so for taking the time to review your stay with us, I wish you had mentioned staying at The Manse as a child - I would have loved to have heard your memories of that time. We are glad you enjoyed the Plum room and yes it is a rich darkish colour. All rooms have their own colour... More

Stayed in yellow room. Lived the Edwardian feel including bath and loo. Would return to stay in the green room next time. Had an early afternoon call on check in day to advise where keys would be left etc. if you want room service. Your beds turned down etc this is not the place for you. Fantastic location looking over... More

Daylesford is such a beautiful town and staying at "The Manse" made our stay so very special. So many lovely, friendly touches; sweets in the foyers, chocolates on the pillow, delights awaiting on the bath rail, tea in a pot, plunger coffee, a fire stacked ready to light just to name a few. There was more than adequate choices in... More

Partner and I stayed here for a winter weekend away and loved it. What a thing it is to have a soak in the deep, elegant bath, with the open fire crackling and sun streaming through the windows (we were in he Blue room). Bed was super comfortable: firm but still cosy. Enjoyed the breakfast provisions and reading in the... More

Hi Kavya, We are happy you enjoyed your stay with us. So sorry there was no soap! definitely an oversight and we would have fixed it quickly if you had mentioned it. The toilets are modern flushing loos, just designed to be in keeping of the Era. There is also a shared bathroom at the top of the stairs for... More
