Iconic hotel for many in the western suburbs but the building is really in need of a face lift. We had a reasonable lunch for only $9 in the expanded open are at the rear of the pub. Steaks were nicely cooked and came with chips or salad. Not bad value. Just another pub but well located for a visit... More

I stayed at the historic hotel in Wallacia, used back in the 40's with the development of the nearby Warragamba Dam. Wallacia is a small village not far from Penrith. This hotel still has the original facade and could do with the stairway carpet being updated and cleaned. The rooms were refurbished and clean. Two power points in our room needed... More

Good points: >Inexpensive. Wotif was cheaper than site -$105 for a queen room with ensuite. There are also 2br suites. >The rooms are really beautifully decorated. The beds are comfy and pillows are good too. Beautiful white linen. >Bistro food is pretty good; there was a good crowd there for meals. >There is a lift if you have a disability.... More

Where to start - very difficult to book accommodation, calls and emails not returned for days, different prices quoted for rooms, the hotel entrance was dirty, empty beer bottles and cigaret packs left on the steps - the carpeted staircase was dirty and not cleaned for the duration of our stay, we saw two cockroaches in the hall and one... Stayed at the Wallacia hotel for one night. It is a bit of a drive, one hour out of Sydney, so a car is essential. It was a great spot out in the country near farm paddocks, a river and parkland. There are heaps of spots to see around the area, hiking and even swimming if your keen on a... More

We stayed here over 30 years ago and needing somewhere to stay in the area for a visit with family, decided to go there again. We were not disappointed! The Historic outside has been maintained and the renovated rooms are very nice and comfortable. Our room was spotless, the bed (king-size) was comfy, and although it was a Friday night... More

Spacious King Room. Bed comfortable. Value for money. Country setting. Friendly staff. Paint still good order. Bathroom renovated in recent years. TV good size. Furniture a bit tired but adds a rustic feel.
