Stopped here for lunch with a group of cyclists. This lovely pub is in a attractive village and is very close to the Downs Link footpath/bridleway. There is a good selection of beers. Very good sandwiches at reasonable prices. Fast and friendly service.

We have never stayed here overnight but often pop in for lunch or dinner as it is very convenient when out walking. It has a large garden, covered outside area and bar which all allow dogs in. The menu is good with simple offerings such as fish and chips, ham and eggs, sandwiches etc. The platters were particularly good value... More

We spent a lovely Easter break here whilst visiting family. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, and we had a great meal on our first night. The breakfasts were fabulous and our room was clean and comfortable. We had a very enjoyable stay. The beer was good too!

Old-fashioned pub/restaurant in a big old pub in a delightful village setting. Clean and warm, with helpful attentive staff who are always happy to help you. Good range of well-kept hand-pumped local beers and also full range of national lagers and other drinks to suit all. Restaurant food is tasty, generous portioned and freshly prepared and cooked, and priced very... More

We stopped in here for lunch after a trip to the castle in Bramber. There's a nice atmosphere to the place with plenty of little nooks and crannies to sit in and lovely low beams on the ceiling. The food was good - we tried the fish and chips and the ploughmans lunch which were both good sized portions and... More

We stayed here as our midpoint stop on a two day attempt at the South Downs Way and cannot fault it. Absolute value for money, with a warm welcome, spacious and well equipped clean rooms together with awesome food and a great atmosphere in the bar in which to let it all settle down. Breakfast was on par with dinner... More

We stayed in the Castle Inn for two nights in March for a wedding. The price was £80 per night for the standard double so we booked that rather than their budget double. The Inn itself is quaint. It's quite busy with locals and tourists and seems to do a fantastic trade at lunctime with their food. Be prepared to... More

Lets start with the positive, arrival was good the man who cooked our dinner was lovely and the food was good in the evening. The room was very old fashioned and had a disabled bathroom and did not want to even use the shower, to ask £80 for this room was a joke quite frankly i could have good very... More
