Stayed here Saturday to Monday for the Brighton Marathon weekend and found it to be a nice little place, breakfast was very nice - hungry man size could be bigger though! ;) The room was nice and cosy, the floor boards creaked constantly but that's to be expected from such an old outhouse. The staff were super friendly and helpful.... More

Having stayed here for 4 nights per week for over 6 months it really has become my second home. You could not wish for a friendlier welcome, nothing is too much trouble, all you have to do is ask. The food is great and the breakfasts will keep you going all day. Having spent many evenings in the bar during... More

The young staff are courteous and helpful. Our room was spotlessly clean and the bed comfortable. The owner and his wife cook the food, which is plentiful and of a very good standard. There is a selection of real ales, lagers, wines and liqueurs in the bar, and the house wines are very good value. In the restaurant, Monday night... More

Arrived on the Friday night, first impression was what a lovely cosy pub. We were shown to our room, it was lovely and clean with tea making facilities, sky tv and iron on request. It was lovely and peaceful and waking up to the birds singing was idyllic! I had a full English breakfast which was cooked fresh. All in... More

PLUS POINTS: - Arrived late on Saturday night for an overnight. Again, served by friendly... More

I took my wife out on valentines and decided to go here and was a little worried as although we live in Steyning we had never eaten here. A number of friends had told it was good but boy did they under sell it! The greeting on arrival was warm and we were given a choice of tables. The setting... More

We had a lovely meal on Saturday night at this pub - There were 10 of us who took ages to decide what we wanted and the staff were all really good and patient with us!! We thought the food was excellent and very good quality and all came out at the same time - Good portions and nicely presented.... More

A quaint little place. I was unimpressed at first since the heating was not on in our room and didn't come on until I complained a couple of times. Same with the hot water. However, the manager/owners were very quick to remedy the problems. Staff are very friendly and the service was excellent. The room we were in was a... More
