Stayed here for one night with a great deal from Late Rooms - £39 for a double with breakfast. Much cheaper than the travelodge down the road. The Saracens is an excellent stop over hotel. It is not a hotel to take your loved one or family for a weekend away. This was a stopover on the way to South England from Scotland and for that purpose it was ok. The staff were friendly and the beer good. The rooms were old fashioned and could do with a little TLC. The food was typical pub and the menu needs updating. Overall it was ok. more

Stayed Sunday night early Feb 07, double room booked through Laterooms.com for £29.95 including cooked breakfast. Clean, spacious room, hot water in the bathroom with shower over bath, Ducal furniture. Plenty of character being an old coaching inn with modern facilities. Freshly cooked breakfast.
