Excellent value and service. Comfortable, old fashioned but well maintained hotel. It is a pub, so expect it to be a bit noisy but the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. Waiter noticed we didnt have a fork at breakfast, didnt have to ask for anything, they pre-empted. Better service than offered at some top class restaurants. Food was good... more

Stayed for 4 nights to visit family. Clean room, large bathroom, well stocked Tea and coffee (always good) breakfast choice was excelent and staff were very friendly My only complaint was having a room next to the Linen Room and being awoken On the Monday and Tuesday morning by what can only be described as a Shout of Eastern European... more

Stayed here for one night with a great deal from Late Rooms - £39 for a double with breakfast. Much cheaper than the travelodge down the road. It's in the heart of Towcester (though it's not that big a town anyway!) and there's plenty of parking out the back. The room was fine - quite old fashioned but very clean... more

The Saracens is an excellent stop over hotel. It is not a hotel to take your loved one or family for a weekend away. The room i had was large with an even larger double bed quite out of keeping with the hotel. The bathroom was clean but rather dated. The staff were very helpfu. Arriving after 10 at night... more

I stayed for one night B&B and had a bar meal. Excellent value at half the rack rate via a late internet booking. Would stay again. It did exactly what it promised. Clean and spacious room-good breakfast-comfortable bar-good service. more

This was a stopover on the way to South England from Scotland and for that purpose it was ok. The staff were friendly and the beer good. The rooms were old fashioned and could do with a little TLC. The food was typical pub and the menu needs updating. Overall it was ok. more

Stayed Sunday night early Feb 07, double room booked through Laterooms.com for £29.95 including cooked breakfast. Clean, spacious room, hot water in the bathroom with shower over bath, Ducal furniture. Plenty of character being an old coaching inn with modern facilities. Freshly cooked breakfast. Towcester is a pleasant little town with several restaurants. more

We stayed over christmas for 3 nights @ £136 per night each, to include dinner B&B the staff were excellent, and the rooms were clean and tidy, it is a very old property and very quant. We felt that the food was not upto standard for the price we paid, the charge was £60 for a christmas dinner for non... more
