I along with other pleasant travellers with Ralph Bullock Coaches of Cheadle, South Manchester were visiting nearby Shandy Hall and discovered this wonderful Tea Room near the cross roads in Coxwold. Our stay was very short due to time but we would have liked to have stayed much longer. We all had drinks. The young lady who waited on us... More

I stopped off here halfway through a cycle ride. This is a really nice proper old tearoom. I had a sandwich, coffee and a glorious piece of chocolate cake. I didn't have anything too complicated but it was very enjoyable and I will make this my regular stop off when in this area. There is space at the rear to... More

Family owned Bed and Breakfast. Very clean, comfortable and welcoming from the moment you enter. Nice four poster room, all the usual amenities. Separate bathroom but very close and private so it was like your our own en suite. Would return. Enjoyable retreat!

Set in a very nice location with a lovely garden to sit in. Waitress pretty uncommunicative. Scone was pretty small with about a teaspoon of jam and cream.slice of fruitcake was very small, dry and burnt with a tiny sliver of wensleydale cheese. When i went to pay noticed other people certainly had more jam and cream with their scones. When... More

The village of Coxwold is worth a visit on its own. The little gem is 'The School House' Tearooms. The setting is a step back in time and beautiful. We sat indoors but there is a lovely outside patio garden complete with cottage style garden. The cakes were fabulous and homemade. The menu covers all day from breakfast to high... More

We stayed at the tea rooms as a family of 5 adults for 2 nights when my nephew got married at nearby Newburgh Priory. We had an excellent weekend - the owners of the tea rooms were very welcoming and the rooms were well-equipped and comfortable (including hairdryers & tea-making facilities). Though the 3 rooms are not en-suite, the owners... More

After looking for a location for afternoon tea, we came across Coxwold tea rooms. In a picturesque quiet village, it was just what myself and my partner were looking for. Initially we were the only guests there and after looking through the menu, decided on the full afternoon tea selection. The choice of sandwiches and cakes was fantastic and homemade... More

A brief one night stay. Made very welcome in 300 year old property full of character. Enjoyed an excellent night's sleep in a well appointed, comfortable twin room. Good value for money and well worth visiting.

My partner and I stayed at the tearooms as we were going to a charity pantomine in the local pub! Having lived on the North Yorks Moors I know this area well. Coxwold is undoubtably a beautiful village and the pub is excellent. There are many places to visit in and around the area and Coxwold itself has a lot... More
