I read all Trip Advisor's reviews before choosing to stay at the Lodge for two nights when I visited Baldock for a family funeral. I agree with everything, and I mean everything said in your reviews, so I won't repeat the adulation, but I will add a few more facts which seem to have gone unnoticed by your other reviewers.... We stayed here with our two very young children whilst visiting the area. The room was immaculate and tidied and topped up with supplies everyday. It was ideal for the children with a stocked fridge, cereals/croissants, tv with a whole range of sky channels including children's channels, a lovely open garden area (an outdoor pool for a less 'baltic' time... Myself and two young children booked in to visit friends in the area. The accommodation is very convenient for the train station, and the town of Baldock, yet surrounded by beautiful countryside. The room was excellent, Sally went all out to make sure we all felt very welcome, providing a put up bed for the oldest child, and lots of... More

We stayed for only one night as we were going to my sisters party in Baldock, we have stayed in other places in the vicinity and this is the best. I love having a DIY breakfast , although the owners were very nice it was nice to be a little more independent. Unfortunately one of my other sisters has beaten... More

We booked a room for the weekend for my husband and his youngest son, who is in a wheelchair. Sally was extremely helpful and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed. The room and bathroom were easily accessible for the wheelchair and the memory foam bed a total hit. There was plenty of food for breakfast - croissants, cereal,... More

My husband and I stayed at Templars Cross Lodge for a week, which is probably much longer than most other visitors. Sally, the owner made us feel very welcome on arrival. The breakfast is buffet style which means you can eat at whatever time you like in the morning as everything is there ready in your room for you. There... More

The Lodge is literally only a few minutes walk from the centre of Baldock, but I found no reason to walk into town. Sky Sports & Movies, along with free Wi-Fi and the cleanest and most comfortable room you could wish for, along with the ingredients for a first class breakfast and ample hot drink making facilities make this, at... How often do you find a place of such high level of quality for such a reasonable price? I stayed here for one night with my partner as was running the Baldock Beast the next day. Had originally booked the lodge for the whole weekend (as was Valentine's Day on the Sunday) but due to work commitments had to cut... More

We have stayed with Sally at Templars lodge 3 times now visiting family and would not dream of even looking for anywhere else. The rooms are warm, modern and comfortable. Bathrooms are great and the whole place is immaculately clean. Sally also provides an excellent 'do-it-yourself' breakfast with plenty of choice - delicious croissants. Thank you for looking after us... More
