We stayed here last Sunday as a treat from a family member. The hotel is conveniently situated to visit all places along the North Norfolk coastline. With only 9 rooms it feels very relaxed. We stayed in room 5 which is furnished and decorated to a high standard reflecting on the New Zealand theme. There were a selection of teas,... More

We had a take-away haddock & chips on a Monday night, and it was a mistake! The fish was far from fresh, and was the worst tasting fried fish we've had for years. We thought it was probably left after a busy weekend, but hadn't been kept properly chilled or was otherwise hanging around too long. If we'd had it... More

We stayed in Brancaster over the half term break with our Labrador Cora and a couple of friends. The ship is just as the classic song suggests....".you can check out any time you want but you can never leave" Scott and his staff are so welcoming and friendly, before you know it much of the afternoon and evening has passed... Went here as there was nothing on the menu as our first choice that 3 out of the 4 of us would eat. It will now be our first choice, 3 of us had the nicest most succulent burgers around and the 4th had the moules We all loved our meals, we had a large round table that made talking... More

A first time visit to the SHip for a winter weekend that turned out to be gloriously sunny but cold. The is dog heaven all shapes and sizes are welcome into the friendly bar and one part of the restaurant. The service was extremely good throughout our stay at dinner, in the bar, and at breakfast. The hotel goes the... More

Stayed at The Ship for a couple of nights using the hotel as a base to explore North Norfolk. We had a fantastic stay, service was great, rooms were comfortable and clean, food was superb. We ate at the hotel both nights and liked that we had the table all night as residents of the hotel. We would definitely come... More

Nice and dog friendly accommodation is hard to find and the Ship provides it exceptionally well. The friendly and efficient staff made our stay really enjoyable. Food was excellent and plentiful with locally caught seafood on offer as well as other local produce. The Ship is a great base for exploring the area which has several beaches which allow dogs... We chose this hotel based on it's website. Our room (no5) was lovely with the most enormous and quirky bed! It looked as if it was fashioned from old Spanish doors or a pirate ship, it was really comfy. Our visit in January coincided with a spell of really bitter weather, yet were were never cold. The bathroom was beautifully... More

This was our first time as hotel guests at The Ship. We had eaten meals there many times. We had a really comfortable room with large bed and spacious shower room. Excellent tea and coffee making facilities with fresh coffee and high end tea bags, as well as herbal options and delicious hand made biscuits made for a good welcome.... More

With a last minute decision to go to Norfolk in anticipated wintry conditions we were encouraged by a late-deal (The room size wasn't good value at the full asking price, but it was perfectly reasonable with the deal). Lovely boutique room with quality tea/coffee and lovely bathroom toiletries. A cosy pub with good range of real ales, a stunning local... More
