We stayed for one night under the December offer of £30 per room for bed and breakfast if you spent £50 on food and drink. This was not difficult as the food was excellent as was the beer ( Adnams) and the wine was quaffable. By chance it was the Snettisham Xmas Fare that evening which meant the pub was... more

My son had his wedding reception at the Rose and Crown. I was quite hesitant thinking it was a pub and not an ideal venue for a reception. How wrong I was the room where the wedding breakfast was held was lovely with doors leading onto a wonderful garden. The food was excellent and the staff were very attentive. Accommodation... more

My partner booked a 3 night stay as a birthday surprise. I was impressed by our room (the tree house). It was tastefully furnished, with a big soft bed and flat screen TV. The Molton Brown toiletries in the bathroom were a lovely touch but I can imagine the room gets very cold in the winter. The room was quiet... more

We were blessed with good weather for our 2night stay. The pub was great. I thought we might be the only two in the restaurant as it was mid-week, not peak season and in a recession but no, it was comfortably busy. Food and service was good. They have a pleasant garden to enjoy an early evening drink. Our room... more

Our second stay at the Rose and Crown and even better than the first!! What a joy to have found a place which meets the basic needs of a 9 year old boy (broadband in the room and a great play area out the back - he doesn't need a lot!!!) and a mum in dire need of a quiet... more

I disagree with the previous comment that it was disappointing. I have eaten here regularly and the menu is very extensive. They serve Rose & Crown classics such as Fish & Chips and home made burgers which are good value, very good size portions and taste amazing and have other dishes with a modern twist and a daily specials menu... more

The menu could not be viewed before visiting so we didn't realise this was a Noveau Cuisine pub! The meals were rather over the top for a pub meal and as such were over priced. After searching through the menu several times we decided on our meals, then had to wait for 40-50 minutes for the said meal to be... more

We didn't actually stay here but ate in the bar on Easter Sunday and really enjoyed our meal. Hadn't booked and turned up very shortly before last orders were taken, but still received excellent service and delicious food. Lovely roasts and and huge burger for our son. Reasonably priced, well prepared and all nicely served. Just what we'd hoped for. more

Just returned from a fabulous weekend's walking in Norfolk (especially the walk at Burnham Overy Staithe), which was made all the more fabulous by having a great place to stay. We booked the £170 B&B leisure weekend, Mrs. Mikey had looked on the website and chosen "The Old Office" as the room for us, and what a good choice. It... more
