Stopped off for lunch which was so delicious. Had the Sunday roast and the fish and chips - not me alone you understand, there were 2 of us - the best fish and chips ever - truly; the lightest crispiest batter served with really really good chips. Would highly recommend.

If you enjoy a busy pub atmosphere combined with a relaxing hospitable stay the Lifeboat somehow manages to achieve both. Its location is perfect for long walks on beautiful beaches and the remoteness of The Lifeboat tucked away on a quiet lane enables you to chill out and recharge your batteries. We stayed for two nights over the weekend and... More

Not sure what this place was! If you like harvester or other generally average not very well cooked food, then this is for you. My wife's salad starter was shocking in so many ways but I'll mention two. One was the sodden leaves and watered pear compote and the other was no walnuts in the walnut salad. I did mention... More

Just had a couple of nights at the Lifeboat , food and hospitality wonderful , although in administration the staff give their all , would recommend this place we will be back . Hopefully the new owner will invest in the rooms as they are a little tired , but very clean and comfortable .

Stayed at The Lifeboat Inn for 3 nights, 10-13th August 2015 to celebrate my 50th Birthday. We took both our beagle dogs. The staff were amazing, so friendly and great with our dogs. WE staying in room 14, although it needs renovating it was clean, comfortable and perfect, we would definitely ask to stay in that room again. The breakfast... More

Lovely food, wonderful staff, excellent location! What more could you ask for. The rooms are a little dated, could do with a little TLC but what an excellent nights sleep! The staff are excellent, very friendly, polite & helpful Food ..... exceptional. My husband & I are both foodie type people & could not fault our meal. Only one issue... More

The staff are very helpful and friendly - always willing to help and advise. We stayed for five nights in Room 10. Only real problem was that the shower fitting needs fixing (currently more of a dribble than a shower). The food is very good, with generous portions. You could spend a lot more in North Norfolk staying in more... More

What an amazing place, amazing staff and amazing food. Was busy when we came in and considered leaving straight away when a gentleman came and said hi to us and explained they were full but could get us seated in around 10-15 minutes. We decided to hang on and it was definitely worth the wait. As a group of 10... More

We popped in here a while ago arriving at 14:50 and were given some menus to order food from, when we tried to place the order at 15:00 we were told the menu we had been given was no longer valid and that only a reduced menu was available with no apology for the error, as there was nothing on... Conveniently located in quiet and pretty Thornham which we used as the base for our North Norfolk Coast walks. Very large own car park just across the narrow back road which runs beside the main entrance to the hotel. Furniture in the room is best described as shabby chic but perfectly acceptable and the room was clean. Evidence of previous... More
