Once the major refurbishment has been completed this would be a decent place to stay. The dinners and breakfasts were of good quality and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room (6) was reasonable, but the bathroom was not particularly user-friendly. The sloping ceiling made getting in and out of the bath (no shower) somewhat difficult, so we didn't... More

We've just come back from two nights on a Living Social deal. The Old Coach House (but actually the building next door named The Chequers when you're looking in the dark!) is undergoing a massive refurbishment so comments about shower cubicles and carpets will probably be obsolete in a few weeks. The size of the rooms varies greatly. We were... More

We booked this as part of a Groupon deal and have to say that we both had a lovely stay, however we are glad that we done this as part of the deal as if we had paid the advertised amount we would of been more disappointed. The staff all very polite and couldn't do enough for you. The food... More

Another Groupon success! Lovely room - warm and comfortable. Lovely helpful staff. Fabulous breakfasts and a lovely three course dinner. We honestly couldn't find fault with this lovely little coastal retreat. The only downside was no wi-fi in the cottage annex we were in, but I understand this is being resolved imminently so all is good.

We spent 2 nights here on a groupon deal and had a great time. Sure the place could do with a bit of titivating but the room was clean and the bed comfy and huge! Our room was over the bar and slightly noisy with a very creaky floor but we were so tired it didn't keep us awake. The... More

The potential here is just screaming out to get a chance to surface! The building oozes charm, and character, from the outside, this continues through the bar areas, and in to the dining area, however, there is much need for cosmetic improvement to all communal areas , and the guest rooms! Had we paid the advertised full price we would... More

Great find - my wife and I spent Friday and Saturday here and had a great time. Friendly staff, nice room, lovely food! We had steak one night and lovely pies the next - really good. Breakfast was also excellent. Only minor gripe - bathroom decor was a little tired and shower wasn't brilliant - but would definitely go back.

Here we are at The Old Coach House again! Our first visit of 2014 and as with all our previous stays everything was excellent. Room, food, drink and staff, so much so we've booked to go for valentines night and can't wait....

if you are not fussy and are looking for comfortable cozy place this is just right. I would recommend it as a stop over during hiking trips or as a base to explore around. Simple, comfortable, unpretentious. We spent a night during a small tour of Norfolk coast and the bed was super comfortable, the room small but with all... More

Stayed for one night on a brief tour of Norfolk. We were greeted and shown to our room which proved to be quite quaint, but perfectly comfortable and containing all the essentials. Enjoyed an evening meal which was good value and breakfast was similarly good. No complaint with value or service throughout and happy to recommend if you are looking... More
