Lost in the lanes of Norfolk. Picturesque Georgian inn. Friendly. Good food, spoken well of locally. Good atmosphere. Excellent walking centre. There are 5 bedrooms, and we want to base ourselves here in the autumn for a walking break. We asked the chef how far away he lived, and he told us he was one and a half fields distant.... More

We stayed here for one night, purely because it was convenient for a party we were attending. We received a friendly welcome, our room was perfect with a decent shower, and very comfortable. We had a light meal before going out, which was really good. The staff were great as well.

We had a 2 night stay at the Saracen's head, midweek. The very small family room on the top floor cost £120 per night with 2 adults and a 2 year old. £240 for 2 nights, we probably could have got slightly better value elsewhere. The room was very clean and nicely furnished, having benefited from a recent refurbish. Generally,... More

This was our first visit at the recommendation from the owners of a cottage we rented for a week's holiday. The family owned hotel and restaurant was exceptionally good The ambience was splendid and the food and service were second to none. Would suggest a visit to anyone when in the area.

The Saracen's Head is our kind of place. We didn't know what to expect from a Tuscan villa in the middle of the Norfolk countryside but we found the little gem. And a rare gem that likes Jack Russell Terriers. All the food is iocally sourced and delicious. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended. This part of Norfolk is... More

Spent a lovely weekend at the Saracens Head. Tim and Janie were very welcoming from the time we made the initial booking. Just peace and quiet and long walks. The room was bright with a large bathroom and was certainly value for money. We ate dinner there on both nights and the menu was interesting with lots of variety. My... More

We stayed at the Saracens Head for 3 nights for the easter break. We had reservations about taking our dog, but the B&B was most welcoming and there were plenty of other dogs so we felt very comfortable. The location was perfect for us as it had the feeling of complete remoteness, but a short drive to Cromer and Sheringham.... More

Decided on a rather last minute valentines break found the pub in Sawdays. We stayed one night with all 3 of our dogs!! The staff were super friendly and nothing was to much trouble. Lovely touches in the room with champagne and rose and chocs too. Super duper place to visit and stay will def return again soon. :0)

Had lunch with friends , end of November. The meal was tepid. The beef and dumpling, had been added too with fresh meat, as obviously they had not enough left.No ambience in dining room. Treacle pudding, had been warmed in microwave,so was hard. Very disappointing,Would not recommend or return for another visit.
