Spent a lovely weekend at the Saracens Head. Tim and Janie were very welcoming from the time we made the initial booking. Just peace and quiet and long walks. The room was bright with a large bathroom and was certainly value for money. We ate dinner there on both nights and the menu was interesting with lots of variety. My... More

We stayed at the Saracens Head for 3 nights for the easter break. We had reservations about taking our dog, but the B&B was most welcoming and there were plenty of other dogs so we felt very comfortable. The location was perfect for us as it had the feeling of complete remoteness, but a short drive to Cromer and Sheringham.... More

Decided on a rather last minute valentines break found the pub in Sawdays. We stayed one night with all 3 of our dogs!! The staff were super friendly and nothing was to much trouble. Lovely touches in the room with champagne and rose and chocs too. Super duper place to visit and stay will def return again soon. :0)

Had lunch with friends , end of November. The meal was tepid. The beef and dumpling, had been added too with fresh meat, as obviously they had not enough left.No ambience in dining room. Treacle pudding, had been warmed in microwave,so was hard. Very disappointing,Would not recommend or return for another visit.

We stayed here the night before a birthday lunch. The hosts were delightful come, and greeted us warmly when we arrived rather late. The meal in the restaurant was wonderful, and the venison was the tenderest I have ever eaten-the taste lives with me yet. The room was clean and comfortable, and just what we wanted. Breakfast was equally good.... More

We stayed here for the night to celebrate a birthday. The meal was fab with local ingredients, tasty and good value. The staff were friendly and the accommodation comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was very good although we were still full from the night before! It is perfect for a remote nights stay but dont expect anything else in the area.... More

We stayed 4 nights at the Saracens Head in early September. The location is great and peaceful; the room was very good and the welcome was excellent. Above all, the food - both breakfast and dinner - was very, very good! All local produce; well cooked and presented. Dogs are welcome. Perfect!

If you want to experience total peace and quiet stay here. It is hidden away in the Norfolk countryside and has wonderful walks on the door step. The food is excellent as the hotel prides itself on sourcing the best and freshest ingredients.

Had a very pleasant weekend stay recently. The setting is lovely and the rooms are charming - we were on the top floor looking over the back courtyard - great views and very very quiet. Was woken in the morning by a mooing cow which as it turned out was about 2 miles away - that's how quiet it is.... More

Stayed here some time ago and decided it needed reviewing as we thoroughly enjoyed staying here for two nights in May. We ate here on the first night and was very good. its attraction is the quiet location; though you can easily get to the main Norfolk coastal places by car; although we did not take the bicycles this time...
