Gina and I stayed at the Merman Barn for four nights and from the moment we stepped out of our car on the first day to us driving away five days later we were impressed by the welcome and service we received from Linda. She runs a lovely b+b with two outstanding rooms (rooms 2 + 3) and a third... More

Enjoyed a wonderful stayy at Merman Barn. Linda is very friendly and welcoming, the accommodation is exceptionally clean and comfortable and of course the breakfast was superb. And thank you for the lovely pot of tea and home made shortbread on arrival, just what we needed after a slow journey in the rain on the M1. We'll be back soon.

This is one of the best bb's we have stayed at. It has clean and comfortable rooms, friendly and welcoming owners and first class breakfasts. It is excellently situated to visit many places in the peaks.

Spent 3 nts at merman barn recently. It's a beautiful property in the village, so close to pubs and places to eat. Room was cosy, warm and well put together - fridge with water and fresh milk, fresh flowers, fluffy towels and great lounge to sit in at night after a good day out walking. Would definitely stay here again and... More

We planned to visit the Peak District and liked the look of Tideswell as a base. Linda greeted us warmly and showed us to our cosy and clean double room. We took a leisurely walk down the village to the Horse & Jockey for a tasty local produce dinner. The next morning as we were enjoying Linda's wonderful cooked breakfast,... More

Spent 4 nights at the Merman Barn last week whilst celebrating our Wedding Anniversary, and really enjoyed our stay. Welcomed by Linda and felt so comfortable staying in their lovely home. Great room, with huge double bed and very peaceful. All home comforts provided, with fresh milk and own little fridge too. Cosy visitors lounge also available but we were... More

Stayed in merman barn with my husband for 4 nights.we booked the double room it's not a large room, but it was spotlessly clean with the added advantage of a mini fridge. There was lots of choice for breakfast but would recommend Linda's cooked breakfast. There is nothing negative we can say about merman barn just all positive. Thank you... More

Stayed here for a walking weekend. Linda was brilliant throughout the weekend - helpful but left us to enjoy the weekend and the house. The rooms were immaculate, HUGE double beds and nice touch to have fresh milk in the fridge in the room. The breakfasts were excellent, cooked to order and no order too much for Linda. Overall a... This is a really good B&B - Aside from a nice room, Linda was a great host and cooked up an excellent breakfast. The Location was on a quiet street in Tideswell (which is worth exploring) and was good for accessing the rest of the Peaks. We will definitely be going back.
