We stayed here with our 2 yr old boxer dog. The pub is very quirky, nice restaurant and conservatory. We had 3 course meal electing to eat in the bar area which welcomes dogs. Food was superb with a great overall choice for each course. The chalet rooms are comfortable, spacious and clean, perfect for our needs. There is great... More

The pictures looked great on the booking web site but these must have been taken many years ago. For the standard of room over priced. The rooms are now very tired looking with cracked ceilings, worn out chrome taps and bath handles, a broken kitchen area in our family room and not very clean. Wifi was available but only worked... We had a gorgeous meal at this pub, the rooms are like chalets in the grounds at the back , no need to worry about neighbours, and you can park your vehicle outside the room, children friendly and nice and clean with pleasant staff

We stayed for four nights over the bank holiday and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The chalet was basic but clean and comfortable. All the staff were keen to help. The food was a little expensive but saying that we really couldn't fault the quality. the only negative point our son would bring up is that there wasn't wi-fi in the chalets!... More

The staff was rude. The food made me sick,i had time off work because of it. The landlady treats her staff like they are drit. I felt so sorry for them. I wouldn't even send the devil there DONT go there if you want a nice night. The rooms are discussing veil and dirty. Im sure my room wasnt clean... More

The Inn/Hotel is well situated for exploring the southern & south western part of the Peak District - one of the loveliest parts of the country. Convenient for Buxton, Bakewell and some beautiful villages. The rooms are individual chalet type, and are comfortable enough without being luxurious. TV, tea/coffee facilities and a bath and shower, with plenty of hot water.... More

I found this misleading as the room was a wooden chalet and very dated. The beds were clean and comfy but the room did smell fusty and the Windows and curtains were mouldy, we could also hear the man next door snoring. The breakfast was ok and it is a good location for Alton towers, it has a good area... More
