Had a lovely visit and overnight stay with family. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Accommodation was clean, modern and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was excellent and good value for money. Would recommend this place to friends and hope to visit again.

The food at Harper's restaurant was excellent. We had lamb and pork for mains. Each was well-prepared and presented, with original touches. The sauces for each dish w ere intense and flavoursome reductions. For desert we had a perfect soufflé with an original combination of apple, toffee and spice flavours, and finished with a tasty selection of regional cheeses. The... More

Love this place. It's friendly and welcoming. Gets busy at times but generally there's always a seat. Dogs allowed too! Can sit out on the forecourt in the sun. The best wine in Melbourne! Great food too.

Harpurs is a lovely place for a drink with friends, a meeting place or somewhere to take dogs. They do have a seperate restaurant and a dog free part but the main bar has normally got a couple of dogs with their owners, it is walker friendly too, infact everyone is made welcome by all the staff.

It has been a couple of years since I was last here, and then we ate in the bar rather than the restaurant side, so I thought I should review it again. Harpurs has no dedicated parking, and parking on the streets is limited. However there is a free public carpark across the road and down a few yards which... More

Nice bar and restaurant with rooms. The room was very clean but small. It is advertised as being luxury and boutique which I am not sure about but it was a lovely stay. Good bar area with a few ales on. We didn't eat there but it was very popular. A relaxing stay.

I took my 16 year old son to this eatery for a weekend treat and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The restaurant is on the 1st floor and has two contrasting areas, with the smaller, cosier, ambiently lit, of the two being far more preferable to the larger, rather characterless space that was empty at the time of our visit. Our... More

Walked in, you can barely get to the bar with the amount of crowd, no fault of the pub. However, when finally getting to the bat the staff were very rude, they ignored us for a while and when we finally got served they snatch and chuck the money about and never smile.

Harpurs was the place we decided on to have our meeting... Before I drove home I thought I would have dinner. I'm so glad I did, I've eaten here before and really enjoyed it, I had a roast beef main followed by the crumble.. Both were delicious and service good. The staff on duty were very attentive. I will certainly... More

It's now a family tradition on Good Friday after a walk we have a fish and chips lunch at Harpurs. Food and service are very good. With eleven of us including three young children it's hectic but the staff are friendly and make us very welcome.
