In our week's stay in Hathersage - we visited the pub twice - the food and welcome were excellent. A good choice of beers and a great menu - extensive specials board. Everyone enjoyed their food including grandparents and grandchild!

After a long walk around Hathersage and Stanage Edge we called in for a meal at this lovely hotel. I must day that the food was some of the best we have ever tasted, the service was excellent too. Well worth a stay or visit.

My husband and I went to the Scotsman s Pack for my birthday weekend. We wanted an over night stay whilst walking in Derbyshire. We were so happy with our stay. Their hospitality was second to none, the food was beyond my expectations and a great range of. Ales , all taken next to a log burner. They couldn't do... More

Very warm welcome and room very comfortable and clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Food was excellent with lots of choice with a good atmosphere in the bar. We would certainly stay at the Scotsman's Pack again and strongly recommend it.

An excellent stay and 'A1' on all fronts! From the friendly and efficient check in, to being shown to our room, and then booking for dinner later that evening, nothing was too much trouble for the staff on duty during our stay. The room was comfortable, spacious, and had everything we needed and also and a recently refurbished en suite.... More

We spent a couple of nights at the Scotman’s Pack and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The room was spacious and comfortable - we had a four poster bed. The manager and staff were very friendly and courteous and the food, particularly from the large specials blackboard, was innovative and delicious, as was the breakfast. It was late November and the... More

I visited here on Sunday and had the best roast lamb I've ever had it's was beautifully cooked, which also had one great tasting Yorkshire pudding. My wife had the gruyere tart which was tasty and the pesto on the new potatoes was a lovely touch, as seen previous somebody thought it was mint sauce! Great all round pub, will... More

Full marks to the manageress who honoured a booking that had been only half made by the person who took it. With very little fuss a table was found for us and we had very professional but also friendly service. Fills a gap in the market between the cheap and cheerful and the pretentious and very expensive. We went twice... More
