Just returned home from peakdale lodge, had a wonderful time, we went for our 10year anniversary and it was better than we could have hoped for, even though it was central to all amenities it was peaceful and quiet, location was lovely, room was clean, spacious and all the little luxuries where there, shampoo, shower gel, towels, tea, coffee, sugar... A cosy and quaint little B&B in central Glossop. Great access to station, shops, pubs and walks in the peaks. Very friendly and attentive staff - family run we think. Rooms standard - decor dated and condition in places needs addressing - fixings, handles, lights etc. Tv in room new and beds comfortable. Breakfast good. Cereals, yoghurt, fruits etc followed... Stayed for two weeks whilst working in Buxton. Welcomed by Mike who has a good sense of humour, tells you where you can eat drink and be merry. The rooms are well proportioned and the place is quiet and restfull. For one week my wife and I were given the briddle suite, includes a sauna...married 47 years ...well it was... More

Stayed here with a friend for one night. A little confusing regarding entrance on arrival but quickly greeted and given info needed. Room was fine-nothing fancy but clean and comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities available. Really friendly owners. Very helpful. Cracking breakfast. Great value for money. Would stay again. Many thanks.

When we arrived to check in the gentleman was very welcoming and friendly. He was more than helpful, advising us on where is best to go for something to drink/eat and local shops. Our room was lovely and had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. It was in a fantastic location and was situated on the main street in... More

We stayed here as a couple for one night but accidentally booked the twin room! Whilst the accommodation was clean and tidy the room was small. Having seen the double room now it would be better to hire both rooms and bring the kids next time! On the plus side the bathroom we got with the twin room was huge... More

Having family in Glossop who only have a small house I opt to stay in a B&B and Peakdale Lodge was recommended to me a few years ago. It is literally 2 or 3 minutes walk from the station and 3 minutes from the banks and shops etc. The best butcher's shop in the country (Mettricks) is along the main... More

My husband and I were on our last night of a 14 night tour of Scotland and 13 nights had been booked prior to leaving home and we had found them all excellent. We had left the last night's booking as we were unsure of our final movements. We visited the library in Penrith to use their internet and booked... More

Really wonderful B&B set in the middle of Glossop POSITIVES: Within 2 minutes walk of main shopping area and also a great family park All areas clean and welcoming, although could do with a little bit of updating with the decor. We had the family room which was in an excellent position off the main landing where the sitting area... More
