Had a really lovely stay here. The lady that owned it was extremely welcoming and helpful, room was immaculate and very cosy and felt like home. Had a tasty breakfast overlooking her beautiful garden - wish I could have stayed longer to explore it! An array of treatments on offer. Can't wait to come back xxx

Lovely friendly welcoming B&B where nothing is too much trouble. Comfortable rooms with everything you need. Fab cooked breakfasts with lots of delicious fresh fruit. Definitely highly recommended, lovely hosts. Will come again if in the area in the future.

We booked Birds Nest Cottage for two nights for a wedding we had in the area, after deciding we wanted something a bit nicer than a Premier Inn. This B&B far exceeded our expectations. Lee and Lynda, the owners, couldn't have been more welcoming. They gave us great tips for the local area, helped us book a taxi and generally... More

All our family stayed here while up for a family wedding nearby. Our stay was fantastic: charming and comfortable facilities and gorgeous proper breakfasts! Lynda was so welcoming and helped with everything we needed from taxis to restaurants. We all recommend Birds Nest Cottage as one of the top five places to stay in the Peak District!

Lovely place to stay. On our arrival we were made really welcome by the landlady, Linda. Our room was small but comfortable and welcoming. There is also a guest lounge too. Breakfast was absolutely amazing, and the view from the dining room was onto the cottage's beautifully kept garden. Central for Glossop, and a great base for exploring the Peak... More

Lynda, the owner, couldn't be more friendly and accommodating. The house itself is charming and very clean. I had a twin room with ensuing and it was quiet and clean. Breakfast was delicious with a large variety to choose from. There is a beautiful park-like backyard complete with a brook and ducks. Restaurants are within walking distance. I highly recommend... My best friend and meet for an annual reunion in the town we grew up in seventy five years ago and I have just returned from this year’s rendezvous. We always stay at Birds Nest Cottage which makes an ideal base. It is a great B and B. Behind the façade of two Victorian cottages, stoutly built, in local stone... More

This was my second visit to the Birds Nest, and the quality of the accommodation, food and warm welcome remains. I was meeting friends in Manchester in the evening and this Bed and Breakfast is a pleasant 30 minute drive to the City. The room was lovely with tea/coffee making facilities, and there are some lovely quiet lounges. The garden... More
