Arrived late after a lengthy cycling trip. Made to feel so welcome and a fantastic home cooked meal waiting for the 12 of us. Lynda went above and beyond making us feel welcome for our stay. Rooms are spotlessly clean and the breakfast lived up to the previous evenings food. Thanks Lynda & Lee for your hospitality. Kev & Vicky

I arrived as part of a group of cyclists, hours late, after a gruelling 83 mile ride, to an absolutely wonderful home cooked meal and a warm welcome. Left the next day after a delicious breakfast and a comfortable nights sleep. Many thanks for a very pleasurable stay.

We stayed as a group of 12 cyclists and had such a wonderful, warm welcome. We had some exceptional food which was all homemade. The landlady even made packed lunches for all of us for our onward travels. I cannot state enough how wonderful this experience has been at this remarkable guest house, nothing was too much trouble for us,... More

We were delighted with our stay at the Birds Nest in every way. We were warmly welcomed despite our muddy wheeled suitcases (we walked from the train station - Lynda's husband kindly cleaned them for us). Breakfast was delicious. Since our visit my daughter has coined the phrase "Lynda style breakfast" to describe a scrumptious, healthy breakfast made with great... More

This is our 4th stay at Birds Nest Cottage and yet again we weren't disappointed. Nothing is too much trouble and Linda is so friendly and makes you feel so welcome. It feels like we are visiting a friend rather than staying in a b&b. This time round I tried one of the therapies that are available and can whole... More

Stayed over bank holiday weekend. Lovely place, with charming owners who were very helpful when we asked about local walks. They provided maps etc to loan if required. The rooms are modern and very clean, with sitting rooms for guests to use. Breakfast is ordered the night before, and was absolutely wonderful. Fresh produce and plenty of options such as... More

It's a lovely welcoming guest house with a beautiful peaceful garden at the back. The good breakfasts and pack lunches kept me going for the long days in the Peaks and it was nice to come back to a warm comfortable bed. I highly recommend the B&B and hospitality and hopefully have a treatment next time .

A lovely little guest house. The owners are really friendly and welcoming and are keen to make sure you have everything you need for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was really good, as was the packed lunch we were provided with for our walks. Bedrooms and bathrooms are both excellent. I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed there recently for one night. Welcomed by the owners on arrival and very friendly they were too. Lovely room, very comfy and welcoming. Breakfast was full English and very nice too. Their garden is worth a look round, the river runs through it. If your in Glossop and looking for somewhere to stay I'd recommend this place. Delightful.

Glossop isn't a place you'd chose for a holiday, but if you're walking in the Peak District and need a night off...this is the place. Wonderful welcome with tea and cake., everything beautifully clean. I had the hot stone massage with the very experienced and lovely Linda...then slept like a baby in the comfortable bed. Breakfast was also just amazing... More
