Stayed with a group of friends over xmas. Perfect location for a getaway or walking holiday. The convenient carpark opposite, has plenty of spaces and is nice and safe. The pub itself is your typical country pub style, standard decor, warm and welcoming. As for the staff, great hosts, friendly, welcoming and what id hope from b&b staff. The rooms... More

I visit the lovely village of castleton often. visited the peaks inn a couple of times before dec 2013. The service was terrible the place was dirty. Myself and my husband visited castleton again in feb 2014 and what a change, you could instantly tell there were different people in charge. nice pint and a warm welcome.Shall be calling in again.

Stayed for two nights with family and friends. Service was excellent and welcoming. Nothing too much trouble. Excellent location had a thoroughly enjoyable stay, Made better by such welcoming hosts and staff. Rooms spacious with tea and coffee making facilities also had an evening meal and can certainly recommend the breakfast which had good quality ( I believe locally sourced)... More

Ordered a beer and it tasted like TCP. Literally the worst pint I have ever tasted. The barman said it was meant to taste like that and refused to replace it. Not a good pub for ales. In summary, rubbish.

The beer was a heavily hoppped winter pale ale from an award winning local brewery in Sheffield. I've spoken to the brewer and the beer is exactly as it was meant to be. He's tried the cask I had on and congratulated me on keeping a fine pint. As was explained to you when you asked for it, it is... More

We didnt stay at the Peak Inn but instead we enjoyed a night watching the live band on a Saturday night. It was our first stay in Castleton and we enjoyed every minute there. The Peak Inn had a friendly welcome at the bar and the staff were chatty and polite. The guy at the bar was happy to let... More

We were greeted very early by the owners who showed us straight to our rooms and made sure that our needs were met. We where in room 4, it had 2 twin single beds. The room which was very clean and well decorated, had a large en-suite bathroom. Attention to detail had been met to a great standard, I honestly... More

We stayed here in July 2013, 2 adults and 2 children. Friendly owners and staff, breakfast and service was great. Great base for rambling and visiting the tourist attractions. The only criticism i have is that there wasn't a family room for 4, we had our 7 year old daughter share our bed and a Z bed for my 13... More

The Peaks Inn was almost empty when we visited on a beautiful evening in August so that should have been a sign!! We had to wait ten minutes for two different beers we ordered. They were finally served by a very surly barmaid whose manner and response to our query on the cloudiness of one beer was quite unacceptable. We... More
