Stayed here for the night wasn't long enough stunning room, bathroom outstanding. With a nice view of the castle. Free parking Can't recommend enough. Would return every weekend if I could. Breakfast was freshly cooked and not dripping in fat.

Stayed one night in the Peak Hotel. Room was perfect with a four poster. Free parking, real ale, cracking breakfast, helpful friendly staff. Couldn't have asked for more on a one night stay. It's on the main street so can be a little noisy, but it soon became quiet after midnight

Would have given 5 stars although didn't sleep too well due to no blinds on the skylights in room 4 and waking at 5am. They had lots of bathroom supplies too but would benefit from having a hairdryer as packing lightly and travelling by motorbike, I assumed they would have one. Excellent food and gin selection made up for this... More

Popped in for a quick drink mid-week in June mid evening.well there was three others there, eventually. Four different breweries beers, lagers and at least six different gins . Bar staff said it had been busier during weekend and half-term. Has Casque mark until 2015. If in area would give another go but Olde Cheshire Cheese nearby had more atmosphere.

Wow what a fab place! Popped in here for lunchtime drinks, such a cool place. Young staff who really knew their stuff, great advice on what gin to try, very inexpensive. Very pleased to find a country pub with a vibrant atmosphere. Totally brilliant time, thank you

Just back from a great weekend at the Peak Hotel. We had an amazing room very light spacious and tastefully decorated. The staff could not have done more for you very friendly but not over friendly. I am a very light sleeper so had read about the noise issue so I was a bit concerned - I slept soundly every... More

Stayed here for two nights with free parking. The bedrooms were very clean and in good order with quite a lot of room facilities such as a fan, hairdryer, kettle, tea and coffee. The bar area was well presented and offered a lovely menu of food. Breakfast was also delivered quickly by a very pleasant and friendly chef. However, there was... More

Only stayed overnight as we were going to a wedding. Room was ready for us as we had a quick turnaround to get to the wedding on time. Lovely room, comfortable bed, warm welcome, fabulous breakfast. Also, problem between two guests was efficiently, promptly and effectively sorted out by staff, who then apologised in the morning because we had been... More

We visited this newly refurb'd pub on Sunday 19th April after a long day walking. As we walked in we received a friendly welcome from the bar staff, our drinks were the perfect serve and the pub atmostsphere was cosy & warm. We ordered some food, my husband had the pheasant special and I had the highland chicken. Both meals... More

We stayed here for our wedding anniversary and loved it. It was great having allocated parking and we both loved our big room. The bar is very cosy and the views from our room at the front were fabulous. Menu could be a lot more varied but overall, despite me having a stinking cold we really enjoyed our stay and... More
