In a beautiful quiet area in the Derbyshire countryside. Very cosy rooms with all facilities. The owners are very helpful and friendly creating a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Breakfasts are individually prepared and delicious. Ideal place to visit all Derbyshires attractions.

Stayed last weekend as part of a group of 12 friends on our annual reunion . This was voted one of the best ever . What a great place to stay . Lovely rooms with great attention to detail , though our bed was a bit hard for us . Super breakfasts and a very tasty evening meal on the... More

We booked our room at the last minute on 30th March for residency on 5th April (the Easter Weekend) and were surprised that anywhere so good still had vacancies. Well the location was great and if we had had more time we would have done a lot of walking, possibly riding. Our room, the "Boots" room, was one of two... More

This was a little gem of a find for me. The room was immaculately presented, very tastefully decorated (it looked like it could have been done yesterday). Very welcoming and warm hosts. The breakfast was fantastic, again beautifully presented and great quality food. I was in Buxton on business and will have need to return, so this will definitely be... More

Another great stay at Rushop. It was great to have a weekend away before Christmas. We stayed in a cosy room above the Dining area. Really well presented and recently refurbished. Spacious bathroom with a double shower. Bathroom a little chilly but bedroom was snug. Breakfast was wonderfully presented with lots of choice and a cooked breakfast that sets you... More

Nice enough place- beautiful, lots of great scenery and walks. But miles from anywhere. You have to book if you want to eat- this was not made clear when i booked the room. There is a cafe onsite- which closes at 5pm and is not open at all on Mon or Tue. Lisenced, but no actual bar. Hosts nowhere to... More

I have no problem with a review - good or bad- providing it is objective, truthful and helpful. Your review meets none of my criteria. The headline for this review was "Too far from anywhere". Well, I admit that we are not a city centre break but presumably those with a modicom of intelligence will have checked out our location... More

Back at Rushop again for a mini break , weather fine and bright but very cold and windy . . . how fantastic to book the Pepperpot cute little cottage with the log burning stove to keep you warm in the bedroom . Really cute and cosy , lovely breakfast in the café and Jan and Neil as ever fab... More

Let me start by saying.....the weather was awful, we were not expecting so much snow. This was a short weekend stopover and we were there for only one night. This made the road down to the house treacherous, but when we got there, oh what a relief. We were told afterwards we should have used the lower road...don't think it... More

Despite the dull, wet weather, this place shone like a beacon on the trans-Pennine road. Set in a valley near the summit at Winnats Pass, it's a set of renovated farm buildings where sheep and alpacas graze, and you can bring your horse on holiday with you!! My room was immaculate, with every comfort. The rustic dining area had a... More

My partner and I stayed here last weekend for one night and came away wishing we had left a day earlier and stayed for the Friday, too! The room was spotless and the bed was honestly one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept on. The owners were lovely and welcoming, and allowed myself and my partner to... More
