Arrived at the hotel to be shown to room 25 - a very damp smell hit me as soon as I walked in to the room. I unpacked anyway as I had to get to a meeting, but on my return I realised that the smell was quite overpowering. Receptionist said that the bath had overflowed in this room at... more

I don't like to put a bad title on any hotel and overall I really enjoyed my stay.....but, do the managers/owners fail to grasp simple economics? I ask because I have never seen bar prices at ANY hotel that can compare to the Priest House. We are talking £7 for a small glass of rose, £11 for a double spirit... more

Pretty hotel great location. We stayed here for a weekend, main problem was rip off prices £9.00 for la arge glass of wine, wine list was no better price wise re quality. We found the restaurant was quite sloppy in the way it was run and larger portions would have been nice also it was so quiet with lack of... more

Stayed from 17th -19th for work. The hotel makes a great break from the usual corporate hotels. Lovely grounds friendly staff and good quality food. The rooms are well furnished and beds huge and comfy. Spa bath didn't work in room and after a long journey it would have been nice but I have to say I didn't complain about... more

Stayed here as part of a business conference. Very disappointed in my small room in the cottages with a single bed. Furnishings were basic and I am glad I didn't bome here for leisure. Prices in bar are unbelievably expensive. 3 rounds of drinks ( 3 glasses of wine per round) and I had a bill for £92.00!!!!! Setting was... more

We didn't stay here although we visited on one of their wedding open days. No refreshments offered despite being advertised on their flyers. Beautiful setting, however they told us they'd get back to us so we could book the wedding and we've never received the phone call despite them having our details. Can't have wanted our business enough, consequently we've... more

This was our second visit to the Priest House. As a full-time wheelchair user you have the choice of one 'accessible' room. It's situated in the cottages about 200 metres away from the main hotel building. I'm just glad it hasn't rained while we've been there. Access is OK although the room is on the small side. However the person... more

Stayed here for one night to attend a friends wedding. Hotel was lovely - quaint old building but refurbished to a modern, high standard. The staff were all very attentive and friendly and the wedding was hosted perfect. Food was delicious, yes drinks were expensive (i.e. £5.10 for a G&T) but no different to other exclusive hotels that cater for... more

We didn't stay at this hotel (thank god, having now read the other reviews) but we had Sunday lunch there. The restaurant wasn't even half full so the atmosphere was very quiet. Firstly, I must say that the service itself is pretty sloppy, waiting for the order to be taken, waiting for the food, waiting 20 mins for the bill.... more

Cant fault the location, room, service and quality of food. My only moan is the price of drinks are stupid. I accept its a high quality hotel but £5 for a small glass of wine is a joke. I booked here to go fishing with my other half as a bday present for him. As advertised in the brochure you... more
