They ruined my Birthday and charged me a fortune to do so, in particular, the experience has involved, for example: - Dreadful customer service from reception, to the restaurant, to the bar staff. The Management were worse. - Shambolic event organisation prior to and during the party - The hosts bedroom had not been booked, the hotel was full, and... More

Had a wonderful Afternoon Tea at the Priest House. The location is stunning with the drive down to the hotel and then it gets even better with the river alongside, it is in a great location. Were greeted warmly at the reception and then again in the Brassiere were afternoon tea was served. Choice of teas, then sandwiches, cakes and... More

This place had thought of everything from a coffee machine in my room to a dressing gown. Really beautiful setting too. Nice and quiet for a good nights sleep. Brekkie was good but only had cold buffet as didn't want the hot but it looked good. Would highly recommend

I had been meaning to visit for some time and finally managed a trip over this week. A stunning location helped by the beautiful sunny day. I took my mum for a cream tea in the brasserie. Although not the cheapest place for cream teas, we found the scones were delicious and as we received 2 each, plenty for a... More

Ate here the other night, trully an outstanding meal, only criticism service wasnt as "slick" as i would have expected and there seem to be a shortage on staff, what staff there were are friendly and polite although young and inexpericenced their personalities and mannerisms outweigh. I would definatly visit again in the near future.

We had our wedding at The Priest House on 22nd February and we felt it was important to let people know what a fantastic venue the hotel is. We stayed from the Friday to the Sunday and felt so looked after from start to finish. All of the staff at the hotel were so friendly and attentive, none of our... More

Oh stayed here recently the food was just outstanding both at breakfast and the dinner experience has to be amongst my top 10! The room we had overlooking the river was just lovely, a perfect getaway, we were on route to the south of England so an ideal stop off, however, would definitely return to make a real stay of... My wife booked us in for a night and paid quite a lot of money for one nights stay. The executive room is fairly small but clean and tidy. Not very executive though. Putting a chair in front of the TV does not make it executive in my eyes. Our room was on the same floor as a wedding reception... More

The priest house is located down a dead end road on the outskirts of castle donington, but it's a road worth taking. We found the service, hotel and food to be great, and would recommend friends to stay. However we did have had a couple of improvement areas, - the room only had one usable plug socket, which meant we... More

Excellent stay. Lovely comfortable clean nicely furnished bedroom with a view of the river Trent. The hotel is situated in a very pleasant location at the end of a lane alongside the river. All the staff were friendly helpful and efficient. Food was excellent as was the service at both dinner and breakfast. The only quibble I would have is... More
