We stayed at the Inn between Christmas and New Year. The room, with a four poster bed, was comfortable, clean and tidy although there were very strange noises from the plumbing which fortunately stopped during the night. The major drawback was the WiFi access; this was not available in the rooms although it was accessible from the Bar & Restaurant... More

Had a lovely short break at the Yorkshire Bridge, staff all really friendly and helpful and hard working. Room was very comfortable, super warm and nicely furnished - and spotlessly clean. Loved seeing all the birds in the garden and car park! Had an evening meal in the pub and it was very good, could do with a couple more... More

Our party ranged from the birthday granny and husband, son and daughter in law, and 3 children from 9 to 20 months. The menu offers a wide choice, and we all thought what we chose was very good. The service was friendly and helpful, despite our many requests. To be able to meet the needs of a demanding family at... More

I had lunch there as part of a pre-Christmas party- soup, belly pork and cheese. The belly pork was very nicely done but spoiled by rather uninspiring over-cooked vegetables of the typical 'pub grub' variety. The cheese plate was good, with a quality piece of stilton and Derby sage- not the artificial green marbled variety, but the real thing. Overall... More

We went to the Yorkshire Bridge to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We sat in a beautifully decorated pub and drank hot cider by the fire which was fantastic. We went back to our room which was no16 and chilled out before having a beautifully cooked turkey meal with all the trimmings. The whole stayy was so cozy and comfortable that... More

Called for lunch on a cold wet day, we were greeted with a roaring log stove. The sandwiches with a side salad was very nice, good chips. One of our had the mulled wine which she said very nice. Will call again.

Stayed here with a group of photographers trying to take some autumn shots in the Peak District. The Inn is well located, rooms are comfortable with good storage (some more hooks for hanging wet clothes would have helped. Heating and hot water worked well - excellent shower though the bath was small. Unfortunately you only get one key per room... More

I have stayed here every year for about 5 years in The Autumn but never posted a review . It's situated in the most stunning part of England . Spacious rooms, excellent food . Lucky these are walking week ends as the food could put on several pounds . Handy for Sheffield , Ladybower , Buxton and The Snake Pass

What an amazing place, rooms immaculate and ran by lovely people. Pub stocks a good selection of real ale and was showing the rugby. Ate in the restaurant at night and the food was cooked perfectly. Breakfast was spot on in the morning and we can't wait to re-visit.
